Wake up..., chapter 2
Anna's P.O.V
My eyes opened suddenly and all I could see was the smashed in windscreen of an upside down car.
"Mike?" I barely whispered. No reply.
I was still strapped into my seat by the seatbelt so I was hanging upside down.
I turned my head slowly and in my heart was hoping that Mike would be sitting there beside me, reassuring me that it would be okay and that I would be safe or maybe even outside, kneeling down to get me out...
"Who am I kidding?" I thought as tears flooded my eyes, praying to God that Mike would be what I saw, and that he would be unhurt.
Mike was there outside...on the ground...lying face down.
"Mike!" I yelled but what escaped me was little more than a wheeze.
I was starting to freak out a little and the only things that calm me down are Mike, fresh air, and Mike.
I was so desperate to get to him that I wrangled myself out of my seat belt prison and crawled out of Mike's window and only stopped crawling until I was there, lying beside him.
I rolled over onto my back and took a few deep breaths of the cold air.
My eyes were starting to sting from the cold.I turned my head to look at Mike. He was shaking and I started to cry. I sat up and held Mike's head in my arms. I made one more effort...
"Mike...please wake up..." I whispered ever so slightly in his ear and to my starry eyed surprise he opened his eyes! Never in my life was I ever so happy to see those beautiful blue eyes that looked like sapphires basking in all the glory of a new dawn.
"Anna!" he spluttered and continued to shake.
"Mike...what's wrong?" I say stupidly, still smiling due to the fact that Mike was alive.
"It hurts," he says and my smile quickly fades as I notice the glistening deep red stain on Mike's chest.
"Oh Mike!" is all I can say and I tighten my grip on him
My world was collapsing around me...
"Call...Billie" Mike says to me him eyes full of pain.
Mike closed his eyes and opened them and the next moment all the hate is out of his eyes and are full of love and gentleness
I take out my phone and call Billie, after staring into Mike's eyes for what seemed like forever.
"Hello?" Billie says yawning
"Billie...come quickly...Mike's hurt really badly... please hurry!!!" I practically scream into the phone.
"Anna? Where are you?" Billie asked
"I'm on..." Anna said pausing to try and remember what street they were on.
"Sunset Boulevard... Billie? I asked.
"What Anna?"
"RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!!!" I screamed with all my heart and lungs and then I hung up.
A few dogs started to bark but I didn't give a care because...
The only person that I have ever really loved in this world was dying right here, right now, in my arms on this freezing September night.
Little did Anna know that the worse was yet to come...
