It All Started At Cookie Time, chapter 5
*Adie's POV*
I was putting Jakob in our bed, when I heard a small crash downstairs.
"Jakob, I'll be right back okay?" I told my son.
"Okay Mommy" he said before rolling over to go to sleep.
I walked down the hall to the stairs. Billie was running up the stairs, and the phone was one the ground. I went over to put the away when I heard Trè on the other line.
"Billie? Are you still there?" said Trè
"Trè is that you?" I send into the phone
"Yeah. Adie, what happened to Billie? I was just talking to him and he must have dropped the phone or something." He said
"I'm gonna go find out" I told Trè "I'll talk to you later Trè. What are you doing up anyway? Billie didn't wake you did he?"
"No, Frankito and I have been up sick for hours now." He said tiredly.
"Okay, we will talk to you later"
"Bye, Adie" Trè said
I hung up the phone and walked up to the bedroom my husband and I shared.
"Billie?" I called. I heard a groan from the bathroom. I walked in to see Billie with his head halfway down the toilet.
"Hun? Are you okay?" I asked putting my hand on his back. He looked up at me. I sat down next to him and played with his hair.
*Billie's POV*
*5:30 am*
"I officially will never eat ANYTHING Trè cooks ever again" I told my wife, pouting.
I went over to where she was getting into bed to lay with Jakob and got in bed.
"Still not feeling great, huh?" she said
"Well at least I am not seeing everything I ate yesterday anymore" I mumbled
"Yeah" she said rolling over to face me "So what happened anyway? Sounds like everyone is sick. I'm surprised we aren't up with Joey right now."
"Well... " I told her the whole story about how Trè and I had a cookie eating contest and how Trè and Frankito were sick too.
"I heard Trè and Frankie were sick. You guys must have gotten food poisoning or something." She said "You boys can just sleep today. Scratch that, the three of us can sleep all day. I'll call Mike later and see if Joey can go over there for the day so it is quiet for everyone."
"Okay" I said rolling over to go to sleep
*Adie's POV*
*The Next Day*
I woke up and reached over to Billie but he wasn't there. The clock said it was 1:30. I sighed. I still had to clean the bathroom. I got out the cleaning stuff from under the sink and cleaned up from last night. I was definitely right. Last night was a long one.
After I was done cleaning up, I went downstairs to see Billie and Jakob sitting on the couch watching the Spongebob Squarepants Movie.
"Where's Joey?" I asked
"I called Mike and he came by a couple hours ago to pick him up" said Billie
"That's good. Stella was staying the night so they can hang out" I told him
I went to sit down between them, but I sat on something else. I looked down to see a plastic beach bucket where I was about to sit. I looked at Billie with a 'What is this' look on my face putting the bucket on the ground.
"Jake and I still aren't feeling that great." he said
"Aw, my poor boys" I said putting an arm around each of them sitting back down.
*A Week Later*
"Joey, are you ready for your soccer game?" I called to my son.
"Yeah, I just have to put on my cleats" he replied
"Do it in the car, if you don't it'll scratch the floors and we are running late" said Billie putting on his sunglasses and hat. Everyone knew who he was at the soccer fields but he still liked to be less noticeable.
"All right Dad" Joey said
"Jakob get in the car" I yelled hoping my younger son heard me. He heard because he came running down the stairs and out the door. He had his soccer game yesterday.
*Billie's POV*
We drove to the soccer fields I let Adie, Joey and Jakob out by the fence so they would be on time, and went to park the car. The game was just about to start when Joey got to the sideline. I walked over to where Adie and Jake were sitting and sat down in the chair Adie set up for me.
At halftime I walked over to the concession stand to get Joey another Gatorade. When I was walking back from giving it to him, I saw Adie with the other soccer moms cheering as the game started again. She was smiling. I stopped and watched her for a minute. Then I looked over at Jakob, I loved my family so much and I remembered I miss them when I am gone. I was so glad I was with them. I walked back over to Adie and kissed her cheek.
"Hey babe" she said "What's on your mind?"
"Nothing just thinking about how much I love you" I said. The whistle blew and the game ended. Joey's team won 3-1. Joey scored the Second goal for his team.
"Hey great job Joe" I said as he came over
"Thanks, did you see my goal?" said Joey
"Yup"
"I saw it too Joey that was so cool" said Jakob giving Joey a high five. We went to get some ice cream to celebrate Joey's game.
