"Ashley?"
I looked up. Ryan was standing in front of me, his head cocked slightly to the side. We were in the lobby of the hotel where Ryan was staying, and I was standing with my back to the wall, the cool marble freezing my skin.
Ryan's chocolate brown eyes seemed to be soaking in every detail of my face as he stood before me. His eyes betrayed a feeling of sadness, but also a twinkle of hope. We stood in silence for a few minutes until Ryan snaked his arms around my waist. He pulled himself toward me, and rested his chin on my shoulder, his head leaning against mine.
I ran my hands through his light brown hair and rested my hands on his waist. For a few moments, we were completely in each others embrace. Then we heard music start. I knew the lyrics, but I had never heard the song. We listened for a moments, and then Ryan pulled himself away, grabbed my hand, and pulled me to the middle of the lobby. He stood facing me, put his arms around my waist, closed his eyes, and put his forehead against mine.
And then we danced.
In the middle of the lobby.
Ryan began to sing along, and every whisper sent shivers through my spine.

A silent tear fell down Ryan's cheek, and he dropped his head onto my shoulder. He stayed there for a moment, and then he pulled back and held my face in his hands.
He kissed me softly, and then whispered in my ear again.
"I love you Ashley."
