Love Me Tender, chapter 15

"Oh look, Brendon. They're asleep."
"I know. Ryan looks like he's been crying...I wonder what happened."
"Should we wake them up?"
"Yeah."

I opened my eyes a little. Nikki and Brendon were standing over me. I was still on the bed, and Ryan's arms were wrapped around my waist. Nikki smiled at me.

"Hi Nikki."
"Hey Ashley!"

Ryan buried his head into my shoulder and sighed. He opened his eyes and yawned quietly. When he saw Brendon he sat up and smiled at his friend.

"Nikki and I are going to go see Jon today. Do you want to come?" I could hardly hear Brendon's voice when he spoke, but I nodded.

30 minutes later, we were at the hospital.

Jon smiled at us when we walked in. Ryan and Brendon quickly walked over to Jon and hugged him. He smiled widely and they started to talk. Nikki was looking at the flowers by his bed. And I walked over to Ryan.

When I walked over, Jon's smile fell away. I swallowed. Was he mad at me? I looked down.

And then Jon grabbed my hand.

"Its not your fault. I'm happy that this happened. You make Ryan so happy."

I smiled and threw my arms around him.

"Thank you Jon!"

Jon smiled at me, and I pulled away.

And without warning...

"You bitch!"
