*Mike's POV
I leaned closer to her.
"Kia...I..."
*My POV*
My mom opened the door. Oh no!! Not now!!! I looked at the clock. 11:45!!!!!! Oh my God!!!
"Mike lay down on the sofa and pretend you're sleeping!!"
I layed on the floor just as my mom came in. She saw us "sleeping" and went upstairs. Thats the last thing I remembered before...
*Mike's POV
I opened my eyes and looked up. I wasnt in my bed or the bed I slept in at Billie's relative's house. I was on a couch. I looked down. She was there. Looking as beautiful and peaceful as can be. I stroked her hair. She woke up and smiled at me as I kissed her cheek. I wanted to tell her, but I wasn't sure what would happen. So I kept it to myself.
*My POV
As soon as I woke up, I was greeted by Mike's lips on my cheek. I smiled sweetly. I got up and took a shower so we could go tell Billie's mom why Mike hadn't been home. Mike and I walked outside and saw Kaylee and Billie. Billie was wearing the same clothes as the day before, so I assumed that he fell asleep there too.
*Kaylee's POV
It was fun having Billie's company last night. We listened to music and he showed me how well he played the guitar and what songs he could play. He even taught me one of his own, a song called "Why Do You Want Him?" which was a song written for his mom.
*Mike's POV*
When we ended up where we were staying, Ollie, Billie's mom was waiting for us looking worried.
"Where have you two been?!" she asked.
"We were at the girls' house. We both fell asleep there while watching TV"
A sense of relief came upon her face.
"Good," she said. "I didnt know what to think after you boys didnt call"
"Sorry," Kia said.
I couldnt believe she said that instead of me.
"Why are you sorry hunny?" Ollie replied.
"I'm sorry because I was talking to Mike and my mom came home and I knew she would freak, so I told Mike to pretend he was sleeping, and we both fell asleep while faking."
Kia looked at Kaylee.
"Billie and I were watching TV and we fell asleep," she said.
"Well I dont mind that and I accept your apologies girls. But the next time you boys are at someone's house, make sure I know! Ok?!"
"Ok," Billie and I said in unison.
*30 minutes later
*My POV*
Mike and I waited for Billie to get out of the shower, and for Chorts to come back with our Wendy's.
"Mike?"
"Yes?"
"Do you play any instruments?" I asked.
"Yeah!"
"Really?! What instruments?"
"Oh! I play the guitar, drums, farfisa, a baseball bat..."
"A baseball bat?!"
"Ha! Yeah...a baseball bat but anyway..my favorite instrument that I play is the bass."
"You play the bass?!" I asked.
"Yeah, Billie and I have a band called "Sweet Children"
"Seriously?!"
"Yeah, but anyway, do you play any instruments?"
"Of course I do! I play the piano, the guitar, the bass, the drums and the recorder...I hate that thing."
"Yeah, the recorder is crap. But you play the bass also?"
"Yeah, all my instruments are in my room, maybe I'll show you later."
"I'd like that," he replied.
I looked at him and smiled. He smiled back. He kissed me again and then opened his mouth to say something.
"Kia, I..."
Chorts walks in the door interupting whatever Mike had to say by talking to our other friends, Jeff, Ash, Kelly, and Sam.
Jeff was ALWAYS talking loud. I shouldve seen that coming I thought. No matter how much noise my friends made, I was always happy to see them.
"Omg Mike! These are my other friends. Well you already met Kelly, Jeff and Ash,
but this is Sam, shes Jeff's girlfriend.
Mike walked up to her and shook her hand. He's so polite , I thought.
*Mike's POV*
Kia took me to her house again. We were watching TV until she broke the silence.
"Mike?"
"Yes?"
"Do you think that Ollie would mind if you and Billie went on a trip with Chorts and I for 2 weeks?"
"Well I dont think so. Where do you have in mind?"
"Wisconsin Dells."
"Whats that?"
"You've NEVER heard of Wisconsin Dells before?!"
"Nope never. What is it?"
"Ok. Wisconsin Dells is a waterpark. In fact, it's America's largest waterpark. Home of Noah's Ark which is America's largest outdoor waterpark."
"Isn't the whole thing outdoors?"
"No, there's some indoors and some out. Wisconsin Dells is a town up north. The whole town is the waterpark."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, so you think you'd want to go?"
"Of course. I'd love to go with you."
I smiled and sang in my head I'm going swimming with Kia, Im going swimming with Kia...for 2 weeks!!!
*Monday, July 23rd, 1988*
*Vacation Day!*
*Mike's POV*
Today as soon as I woke up, I took a shower and headed straight out to Kia's. When I got there, she was waiting for Chorts to come back with Billie who went out to eat. I approached her. She turned around.
"Hey," she said
"Hey," I said. She stood up.
"I cant wait for even like 3 more minutes. I just wanna go!!!"
"Yeah me too."
We stood there, waiting for at least 5 more minutes before we started kissing. We heard a car pull up and didnt dare to break away. Someone tapped my shoulder.
"Billie, you've been with Chorts all day, I just got here not too long ago. You had plenty of time to kiss Chorts while you were gone. So we're gonna make you wait until we're done"
*My POV*
Someone tapped my shoulder like 2 seconds after Mike stopped talking.
"Chorts, just because I'm kissing Mike and you're ready to go does not mean the whole world's gonna stop because we're not ready. We've been ready and you weren't here so you're gonna wait."
I think someone tapped our shoulders at the same time because we both yelled
"KAYLEE!!!! STOP!!!"
"BILLIE!!!! STOP!!!"
We both opened our eyes and looked up getting ticked off. The most unsuspecting thing happened. The person who tapped my shoulder was my boy hating, totally racist....dad.
*Mike's POV
