Nothing Is Stopping Me, chapter 1
She held the knife in her hand, her eyes wide and full of tears that began to leak. She stared at the man, the man she had just stabbed and watched him squirm uncomfortably on the floor screaming in pain. She released her knife and began to back away. She could still see his tearing eyes, staring at her.
She shook her head miserably. "No..I...no... " She muttered over and over again as she backed up to the wall. The sight of his misery made her feel miserable, and caused her to collapse in agony.
She felt someone shaking her and saying her name. "Adie. Adrienne!" She sat up quickly and saw that she was in the same room that she stayed in every night, with her husband by her side. "Adie. You were having another bad dream."
Adie looked beside her at the man in her dream, Billie Joe Armstrong. "Oh, thanks." She scratched her head and noticed that she was really sweaty. She saw the concern in Billie's eyes.
"I thought you were having a fit. You were curled up in a ball and shaking like mad. It was scary." He hugged Adie now that they were both sitting up. "What were you dreaming about?"
Adie paused, she had started having the same dream for three months but never dared to tell her husband. "Oh, just another death one. It's okay." She buried her face in his shoulder and they lay back down.
He grunted. "What time is it?" before shutting his eyes.
Adie stared at the clock. It read 5:27 am but it felt more like 2:00 am. "You got to be kidding me." She whispered. "It's nearly 5:30."
"Shit. Sleep in with me." Billie smiled and cuddled up with her. She couldn't help but giggle a little at his attempts.
"No silly. Sadly I have to have a shower and get everyone up." She dragged herself out of the bed, with Billie's arm still around her waist.
He groaned. "It's too damn cold to get up." He stared at Adie who made her way to the washroom. "Ugh fine."
Adie turned around. "I'll be back." She laughed and shut the door behind her. Her smile quickly faded into a frown when she stared at herself in the mirror. She had a thick layer of bags under her eyes and wrinkles were starting to creep away from her eyes, which gave her the look of crows feet. She wasn't even going to begin to mess with her hair. Her dreads were getting thinner and thinner every time she looked at them. She knew that the cause of all her looks fading away, and that was the stress of everyday.

"Honey, wake up." Adie shook Jakob's shoulders gently. He groaned and scratched his eyes. "Good boy."
Adie made her way to Joey's room, and opened the door to see Joey curled up on the floor instead of his bed. "Joey. Wake up." She lifted him up and shook him a bit. He normally fell out of his bed and onto the floor in the middle of the night. It was a bit of a habit for Adie and Billie to find their son on the ground somewhere, considering he had the occasional sleep walking thing.
"Ugh... do I have to mom." Joey grunted. Their household were certainly very lazy and the non morning type. Even Adie admitted to hating to wake up early.
She left the kids to get dressed and ready for the morning and went downstairs to search the cupboards for the cereal. She started the coffee maker and sighed deeply when she heard the kids screaming upstairs. "What the fuck! Get your grubby hands off that! MOM! Joey hit me! AHHHHH!"
Adie rolled her eyes, knowing that Billie wouldn't bother to get up for that type of ordeal. "Coming. Kids, don't touch each other!"
"MOM!!! Jakob was stealing my converses!" Joey screamed.
"But MOM! He hit me!" Jakob screamed back.
"Shut the fuck up." They all heard Billie grunt from the bedroom.
Adie frowned and pursed her lips. "Just get dressed with the things you have and come down stairs for breakfast."
With much luck, the two of them nodded and went separate directions looking for their clothes in a heap of junk in the corner of their room. Adie made her way to their bedroom, and saw Billie laying down with his face deep into his pillow. "Honey. It's time to get up." She sat down beside him on the bed and stared at him.
"Do I have to? My head fucking kills." He muttered.
Adie nodded and patted his back. "Com'on. Advil helps." She stared at him. He finally looked up at her, with his bright green eyes.
"Okay." He smiled and same did Adie. He sat up and rubbed his eyes with a yawn. "I'm having a shower, and then I'll join the breakfast crew." With a sigh he made his way to the washroom and Adrienne heard the door shut behind him and the sound of the shower turning on, and him getting into it.
Adie made her way downstairs to find Joey and Jakob already there watching TV, and her coffee pot almost full. She grabbed the cereal and set it on the counter. "Come and get it!" She laughed at the look that Jakob made.
"Eww, I hate that kind," He groaned and grabbed a spoon with a bowl.
"All the more reason to eat it up." Joey smiled and poured a huge bowl full of the stuff.
Adrienne grabbed her cup of coffee and sat down in the chair opposite from the TV. There was nothing good on, so she decided to watch cartoons. When the kids sat down on the couch eating their cereal, a very feeble Billie came down rubbing his head and reaching in the cabinet, most likely for the Advil Adie promised him.
Adie got up and went to the kitchen where she found her husband swallowing pills like mad. "Holy shit. Two is enough! Jeez! Don't kill yourself." He looked at her and nodded. Adie knew that he had already swallowed five though.
"Is it okay if the guys come over today. We were going to head out after too." Billie smiled then frowned at Adie's expression. "What's wrong?"
Adrienne sighed. "You're... " She paused and changed her mind mid-sentence. "Okay. Just don't get killed okay." She didn't smile, or even show a sign of happiness. She only glared at the stain soaked floor, ignoring Billie's look of glee.
