Trapped in the Past, chapter 1
"Hey Dad," Joey started.
This is a live report of a car accident taken place at the edge of Berkeley Hills.
"Oh, hello," Billie Joe said curiously.
The car contained a woman and a man, both in their mid 30's.
Joey let go of a young child's hand. "Dad, I'd like for you to meet Dylan."
The woman is identified to be Adrienne Nesser.
He held out his hand, "Hi there, Dylan."
The man, her husband, is rock's rude boy, Billie Joe Armstrong.
Billie looked up from the offspring, "Can I ask you something?"
Mrs. Armstrong, tragically did not survive the fall off the side of the cliff.
"Sure Dad, you can ask me anything," Joey said, looking into his father's eyes.
Billie Joe however, was unconscious and miraculously survived with 3 brokenribs, a punctured lung, and a shattered femur.
"Who are you?"
He was in a coma after being wheeled out of the emergency room.
Joey sighed, "Dad, it's me, Joey."
There are no signs indicating that he is going to wake any time soon.
The middle aged man eyed his own son, "I have a son named Joey too, but he's 12."
Things are looking better as new reports are showing that Mr. Armstrong has indeed woken up.
"Well, I'm glad you could entertain me while I'm waiting for my wife to come."
Over a year ago, a man by the name of Billie Joe Armstrong was in a tragic car accident, one that took the life of his beloved wife of 13 years.
Joey suddenly seemed interested with his shoes.
And when he awoke from his coma, could not remember the present, but rather... .trapped in the past.
"Maybe I should introduce you to her when she comes."
Doctors are rather puzzled at this case of brain damage.
"Uhm, Dad... ... Mom has been dead for a long time now." He couldn't believe that he had been saying this to his father everyday, for 22 years.
His family members are coping with him, trying to make him snap out of a sort of daze. But experts are saying he'll be like this forever. A clean slate, after the next day.
"But, but... what are you talking about?" Joey exhaled, he thought it just might work today seeing how it was his father and mother's anniversary. He guessed his own father will always be trapped like this, a prisoner of his own mind, never able to escape free.
