So life can get better! (Includes Green Day and Adrienne so no teenie comments), chapter 9
Rebyl's POV
I woke up to a strong smell of coffee and light snoring next to me. I got up and walked into the kitchen where I saw Mike sitting on a stool by the counter.
"Hey Rebyl! I am so confused."
"About what?"
"Did I get wasted at our party last night because the last thing I remember is getting your tattoo." I burst out laughing at that. Mike isn't delusional anymore! He's back!
"Mike, that was weeks ago, we got in a car crash, almost died, were in the hospital for a few days, you were delusional and imaging the weirdest things, the works. Ask my dad for details but for now, I'm getting coffee." I replied all in one breath while laughing. He stared at me befuddled for around 5 minutes while I drank my coffee until he muttered a soft 'wow'. He walked out of the kitchen, most likely to call my dad. Stella waltzed into the kitchen and she looked like a zombie. Her short dyed black hair was going everywhere, her eyeliner was smudged and she had dark bags under her eyes. She walked to the coffee pot and poured some coffee, I chuckled at how much she was like her dad. After 3 cups she looked a little better.
"Hey Rebyl," she said as if just realizing I was there.
"Hey, your dad finally came around! He isn't talking about anything weird and outrageous anymore!"
"FINALLY!"
"Hey how about we invite over Frankie and come up with band ideas.
"Ok, sounds cool." Stella said with a smirk. She is plotting something and I can tell.
An hour later we were all at Starbucks holding coffee.
"Ok so I'm playing bass and lead/backup vocals along with Rebyl, but she'll play lead guitar while Stella is on drums." Frankie said.
"Pretty much but we need a keyboardist and other crap we might need." I replied.
"Hey, how about Josh and John?" Stella asked.
"Yeah! I love those guys." Frankie replied.
"Who are they?" I piped in.
"Your cousins. Their mom left them about a year ago. They're your uncle David's sons. Josh plays keyboard and trumpet while John plays every other instrument in the world. Oh yeah and they're twins." Frankie told me. "I'll call them now."
I kinda felt bad for Josh and John and I haven't even met them! Why they are the only cousins I've never met, I don't know.
John's POV
At his house
My brother and I were in my bedroom listening to our new Good Charlotte CD A song called 'Christmas By the Phone' came on. It was about their dad that left them when they were younger and I couldn't help but cry. Our mom left us a year ago, but for them he left on Christmas Eve and for us she left on Christmas day.
*Flash Back *
I woke up in the morning and walked downstairs, excited to see all the presents I got from family and friends. Usually uncle Billie, Aunt Adie, Uncle Allen, Aunt Anna, Aunt Marcy and everyone else on my dad's side of the family are there. I went down to see everyone there but none of them were happy. They were all crying except uncle Billie who was sitting there comforting my dad with all different expressions on his face including hurt, anger, confusion, and sadness. Mostly anger. He was the first one to spot me and elbowed my dad. He looked up and I heard Josh behind me "What's going on?" I just walked down the stairs and everyone walked out of the room except my dad and us.
"What's going on?" Josh repeated.
"Here boys, read this." He choked out through tears. I read the note along with my brother.
Dear everyone,
I'm sorry I had to do this, but I had to leave. Everything at home is going bad at home. No body appreciates me anymore. I do a lot for you but you do nothing for me.
Merry Christmas,
You mom, wife, sister, and sister in-law,
Tracy
I stood and read the note, not believing it was true and ran out of the house, I didn't pay attention and ran across the street when...
