Wicked Wishes: until the end. (2nd ending.), chapter 4

When I woke up the next morning I was covered in cold sweat and tears. I looked over at Carly. She was watching TV and eating.

"Who is Chadd?"

"Huh?" I asked sitting up.

"You just kept mumbling that. I just was wondering."

Carly's arm had a large back and blue bruise on the inside of her elbow.

"You should eat your food before it gets cold."

I looked at a tray on my bedside table.

"Are you gay?" she asked.

"What? No! Why!?" I said taken aback by how up front she was.

"Well, Chadd is a boy name you see."

"HER name was...is...Chaddlynn."

"Oh. My name is Carly by the way."

"Riot." I said lifting the lid of the tray. Nothing looked good so I put it back on.

"Is that your name or are you just saying that?"

"It's my name."

"That's an odd name," Carly said rubbing the bruise. Sure signs of herion overdose, I thought. Some of my friends had them before.

"So who was she? Chaddlynn?" Carly asked smoothing down her brown hair.

"Id rather not talk about it."

"Oh well ok." Carly said. She looked over my arm studying all of my tattoos.

"Wicked? Isn't that a band?"

I nodded.

"Wait a second! Chaddlynn Murry! She was in that band. She was killed about a week ago; it was all anyone talked about at the Gilman. Did you know her?"

"Yeah."

"There were some rumors about her being pregnant too."

I started to pull at my medical bracelet. Of all the people to get a room with. I thought.

She stared at my wrists.

"So you cut yourself?"

"So you overdosed on heroin!?" I shot back.

"Yeah my boyfriend got me into it and it become a habit unfortunately."

How could some one be so upfront and open about everything like she was?

"So kid? How old are you?"

I had guessed that she was older then me. Maybe in her twenties.

"18," I said.

"Really? That young? I am 24. So why are you here?"

"I overdosed on sleeping pills."

"Ahh...I see."

"I wasn't trying to kill myself. I just wanted to sleep," I said in self defense.

"So how long have you been here?" I asked her.

"Two days."

I went home three days later. I talked to the shrink. Well I don't know if you can consider sitting there and looking at the ceiling while she goes on about Chadd and everything else, Talking.

"Where are we going?" I asked Billie noticing that this was not the way home.

"You'll see," He said.

Half an hour later we pulled into a cemetery.

"Get out of the car," Billie told me. I followed him up a hill.

He pointed at a head stone.

It read: Andy Marciano Armstrong, 1943-1982 loving father

I looked at Billie. "I didn't know your dad was buried here," I said.

Billie pointed out another headstone a few plots away. It read: Chaddlynn Murry 1988-2006. Daughter and Sister.

I looked at Billie.

"Why did you show me that?"

I followed Billie back down the hill.

"Get back in."

"WHY DID YOU TAKE ME HERE?" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

"I DIDN'T WANT TO SEE THAT! IT'S NOT FAIR!" I screamed as loud as I could.

"SHE IS THE FIRST AND ONLY PERSON I WILL EVER LOVE AND NOW SHES DEAD! IM NEVER GOING TO SEE HER AGAIN!" I kicked the car tire as hard as I could.

I leaned over the hood and sobbed. I had never cried this much in my life. I never cried.

I cried out of misery, frustration, and pain.
