I Write Sins Not Tragedies (a Panic! at the Disco story), chapter 6
BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
I slowly turned my opened my eyes. All I could see was white. I blinked. Was I dead? I turned my head. I saw a door and i window. In the window my mom was there sobbing in my dad's arms, Spencer, Jon, and Nickie were watching me nervously, and very surprisingly Ryan's mom was here. But where was Ryan? I heard worried and rushed voices all of the sudden, I turned around to see another guy on a bed with a bunch of doctors gathered around them with tubes and knives and sissors. I quickly and quietly turned my head to see the person's face. Ryan. He had a vacant expression on his pale face. As soon as I saw blood on the doctor's heads I turned the other way. I stared at the people out the window. Nickie was the first to notice that I was awake. She whispered something to Spencer and they walked in. I saw that my parents were gone. Probably for a coffee or something. Nickie grabbed my hand and squeezed it. Spencer and Jon stood there looking slightly relieved.
"Whats going on?" I asked Nickie very quietly.
She looked down.
"Its a long story hon, you're tired," she said sadly.
"I think I have time Nick," I sighed.
She took a deep breath before plunging into it.
"Well... you were running away from your parents, and well... Ryan's dad was looking for Ryan, and he couldnt find him so he went out drinking... and well... he got completely sloshed because Ryan's mum said that if he doesnt find him then she would get a divorce, so when he saw you he thought you were Ryan, and took out his gun, and yeah... shot you in the stomach. Then I guess Ryan heard the shot and came running out of Spec's house, and He shot Ryan too... then he shot himself in the head."
I sat there, shocked.
Then a doctor came up.
"You guys have to go..." He pushed them out, Then walked back over to me.
"How are you feeling Mr. Urie?" He asked scribbling some things down on a clipboard.
"Um... ok?" I gaped. I really wasn't.
"Ok... time for bed... goodnight Mr. Urie," he whispered putting that scary gas mask thing over my mouth and nose. Everything was blury.... then black. Once again.
Nickie's POV
A tear slid down my pale cheek. I whipped it off, taking half of my smeared eyeliner with it. I clutched Spence's shoulder and he looked back at me.
"It'll be okay Cheeka," I hated how he always called me that... but then again it comforted me.
"I sure hope so Cheeko," he smiled lightly before dragging me and Jon down the hallway to the coffee shop. It was 4:00 AM, and I had had no sleep in 48 hours, so I needed it.
We sat quietly at the small table until a doctor came walking over to us.
"Mr. Ross would like to see you all," he said calmly and soothingly.
We silently rose and walked down the white hallway into the dark room. We ignored the fact that one of our friends was passed out right next to us. I ran over to Ry. His eyes were barely open and he was smiling.
"Hey Nick," he said weakly.
"Hey Ry... uh... how ya doin?" I stuttered. The tears were coming back.
"Im good... hey... " He whipped away the waterfall running down the side of my face. "I'm really good."
I smiled back, then bent down and softly kissed his lips. It was a friend thing. We had nothing going on... I didn't like Ryan that way... I think.
Then I stepped out of the way so he could see Spence and Jon.
All of the sudden my cell started vibrating. I glanced down at the name and cold shivers went down my spine "David." This wasn't good.
