The Flinders, chapter 3
"Hurry up guys we are going to be late!" I scream into the gigantic 3 bedroom suite.
"Geez. You should be talking! You don't even have your make-up on!" Yelled Nathan.
"Oops. Forgot 'bout make-up be back," I said as I ran to the bathroom. I noticed that Jimmy was still in the bathroom getting ready. "Boo!"
"Ahhh! Whoooo....it's only you. Stop scaring me like that!" Jimmy yelled.
"Whatever, Can you pass me my guyliner?"
"Here."
"Thank you"
"Welcome."
I hurriedly put on the eyeliner and ran to the door, to see Nathan and Amber ready and waiting.
"Where's Jimmy?" They asked.
"Getting ready," I answered.
We waited, and he finally came out. "Okay, it looks like both of the ladies are finally ready. So, shall we be going now?" Said Nathan.
"Who said I was a lady?" Jimmy asked.
"I don't know. But all I know is that, you is a cross dresser," Amber replied.
"Hm, doesn't that remind you of a song...." I said ready to start cracking up.
"Yeah, it does...I say we sing it how 'bout you?" Asks Amber.
"No! Don't sing that song it's so annoying! And I am not a crossdresser!" Jimmy yelled. Then just to get on Jimmy's nerves we started to sing 'King for a Day.' We sang it all the way out to the car. When we got in the car, we played it on the radio.
"Okay. Guys, I get the point. Geez! Can we listen to something else?" Jimmy pleaded.
"Okay Jimmy," I said. I turned on the classical music station. "Ahhhh! Don't you just love the relaxing sound of violins in a beautiful orchestra? Yes, life is good." I said.
"Ahhh! Classical music! Hide!" Yells Amber as she twists in to a fetal position.
"But life only gets better!" Nathan yells, turning the Green day CD back on and cranking it up.
"And that it does my good man, that it does," Jimmy says sighing. "It can't get better than this."
"Oh yes it can!" I say as I put in the Family Force 5 CD.
"Yeehaw! Southern Crunk Rock at it's best!" Nathan says in a country accent.
About 10 minutes of singing 'Southern Crunk Rock,' and getting weird looks from some people, we finally arrived to the place. As we walk in we are greeted by a lady that was talking at a million miles per minute.
"Do you even understand what's she's saying?" Nathan whispers to Amber.
"Nope not a thing."
"So I'm not the only one?"
"Nope."
"Good."
Finally the lady stops talking and says "Okay?" and we all nod. We are then rushed around for make up, hair, and mics. As we walk on stage I see 3 strange figures slip into a room. I wonder who that was? Could it be...naw. It cant be...
*Green Day's P.O.V*
"Hey, Billie, I think that girl saw us," Tré said.
"No, she didn't."
"How do you know?" Tré asked
"Because, we are wearing black and we were standing in the dark, dumbass," Mike answered.
"I still think she saw us," Tré said with a pout.
"Tré, chill," Billie says, as he goes off to make some phone calls. Then Mike goes to find some coffee, and Tré is left to sit by himself. "I still think she saw us." He muttered.
*Mike's P.O.V.*
Yes! Finally coffee! I think im going to go watch the interview. He sat and watched for a few minutes. These kids aren't half that bad. The drummer is pretty laid back...unlike Tre. I thought all drummers were hyper. Guess I was wrong. The bassist looks relaxed too. The guitarist looks pretty interested in the interviewer...hm, probably staring at her boobs. Geez! That's the lead singer and song writer? She's like a mini Tré. Woah, freaky. She kinda looks like Billie in a girly, cheekier, slanted eyes way. She even does the same facial expressions. Weird. She even has that twinkle in her eye Billie does when they talk about the meaning of her music. Well, I better go find Tré before he breaks something...or someone.....
*Tré's P. O. V.*
They left me here by myself? They never leave me by myself. I'm free! Naw...I think I'll just stay here and watch. They look cool. The lead guitarist isn't that bad looking either, but that singer is cute too. She kinda looks like Billie in a weird, girlier way. She even does some of his facial expressions perfect. That Bassist reminds me of Mike. She's relaxed but still funny and gets to the point. Hmm...I'm going to go look for Mike, there he is.
*Billie's P.O.V.*
"Why isn't Adie picking up? Come on, come on,"
"Hello?"
"Hi, babe."
"Billie! Whats up?"
"Nothing much, just waiting to go on stage for an interview we are doing with that new band...umm...er...what's their name again...hm..."
"The Flinders?"
"Yeah, that's it!"
"Jake loves them."
"If they have no CD yet...how did he hear them?" Billie asked.
"The lead singer is one of Joey's friends on myspace."
"Oh. Oh, yeah, I need to..."
"Hello? Billie? Are you there?"
"Uh, yeah, yeah, I'm here, wow...they are pretty good! Babe, I'll call you tonight Bye!"
Wow. I didn't think they were this good. Hmmm...looks like they are holding something back...
