Just My Luck, chapter 1
Caisey was skateboarding down the street one day when she saw an ad that looked like this:
Billie Joe Armstrong is offering guitar lessons!
He will be willing to pay for the plane trip to
California and back, if needed. Please call

She quickly grabbed the paper off the phone pole and took off home with her skateboard in one hand, and the ad in her other. She HAD to tell her friends.
When she got home, she called Paige, Beth, and Nikkieh and told them to meet her at the club in the woods. Five minutes later, they were all there.
"So, Caisey, What was so urgent, so important, that we HAD to meet you here?" Paige asked, sounding pretty mad.
"Wow," Caisey said with a blank look on her face," where did you learn such big words??"
Paige rolled her eyes and said sarcastically, "I was late home yesterday by 15 minutes and my punishment was to read the dictionary."
Caisey nodded her head a bit then said what she called the meeting for. "We are gathered here today, at the Club In The Woods, too.. "
"Caisey!" Beth said, cutting her off, "Are you holding a marriage ceremony or something?"
Caisey replied to that with a simple no, and a nod of the head. " Like I was saying," she continued," I found this ad while skateboarding down the Boulevard of Broken Dreams."
Thats what they called the street where they got into a fight with these retarded guys. Caisey passed the ad around.
"Oh..my..gosh," Beth said.
"NO WAY!" Nikkieh screamed.
Paige just sat there with an open mouth, then she reached for her pocket and brought out her cellphone. "I'm glad I brought my cellphone," she said.
"Why?" Caisey asked, staring at the new razor flip phone. "There's a number on here you dumbnut!!!"
"HEY!" Caisey screamed, "that's my word, and you dont have my permission to use it, so you owe me a dollar."
Paige reached into her pocket yet again and pulled out a paper filled out and signed by both her and Caisey. "It says right here that if you accuse me of not having permission then YOU owe me a dollar."
"Fine,"Caisey mumbled as she took out a buck.
Paige started dialing the number on the ad paper and moments later, you could hear it ring.
"Hello, This is Joey Armstrong, how may I help you?" Joey asked, hesitantly.
Paige hadnt given this much thought, but Nikkieh did.
"Umm, Joey," Nikkieh said,"We're callng about the guitar lessons??"
"Oh...yeah...hold on, lemme get my dad..." Joey replied. In the background, you can hear him screaming, "DAD! SOMEONE'S ON THE PHONE!"
"WOW, he can scream!" Nikkieh said.
"So can you Nikkieh," Caisey said in a dull voice.
"Hello, this is Billie Joe speaking," the voice on the other line said.
"HELLO," Caisey screamed through the speaker, "When is the money due?"
"Ummm. When you drive to california, I will take up the ten dollars."
Beth grabbed the phone from paige and said, "How much do plane tickets cost?"
"I will send them," Billie said, sounding suspicious.
"Well since there is four of us, we need four tickets," Caisey said, sounding proud of herself.
"Did the math, I see," Nikkieh said, laughing.
"HA! TRE, YOU OWE ME 10 BUCKS!"
"Whats that about?" Caisey asked.
"Me and Tre made a bet about how many people were there, thank you Tre," Billie replied.
We told Billie our addresses and phone numbers so he can send the plane tickets and contact us. Then we said our goodbyes and hung up. Finally, we all left to go home.
**Caisey's POV**
I woke up the next morning to the sound of my annoing as heck phone.
"Hello," I said very tiredly.
"Caisey! EMERGENCY CLUB MEETING! NOW!" Paige screamed.
"OWWWWWWW! GOSH! OK! I WILL BYE!" I screamed back, just as loud. After I hung up the phone, I threw on some cloths, brushed my teeth and was at the club in seven minutes. Wow, a new record.
"So Paige, What was so important that we HAD to MEET YOU HERE!" I screamed, while also mimicking what she said yesterday.
"Well, we got the plane tickets and Billie called, and said to call him back when we all got here," Paige said shakily, like she was about to cry.
"Oh! Paige I'm sorry, but you know how I like to not get up in the morning," I said, in that special voice that makes her laugh.
"Its ok," Paige said as she dialed Billie's number.
"Hello," some voice that answered.
"Umm, Billie Joe said to call him for more information?"
"I guess you dont know my voice yet, huh?" Billie said laughing.
"OH! Im sorry!" Nikkieh laughed through the phone.
"Its ok, you're not the first. Umm, for the plane, just bring some cloths to last you a month and a half, umm...and anything else you need to help you feel more... uhh.. 'homey.'"
"Ok, thanks Billie Joe," I said, in a teenie tone. That's kinda weird for me.
"Just call me Billie," Billie said while laughing a little.
"HOLY SHIT-TAKI MUSHROOMS! WE HAVE ONLY AN HOUR LEFT!! BYE BILLIE!" I screamed as I took off through the woods to my house to pack and shower. After I packed a few things I saw Paige, Nikkieh, and Beth running home. I laughed as I grabbed some cloths and hopped into the shower.
