With An Angel Face and A Taste for Suicidal, chapter 3
Summer of 1985 was over. School had started. For me, I had to start at an all new school. I had to go to Pinole Valley High. I was nervous. Was I going to fit in? Was I going to be an outcast like at my old school in Fairfield? I hope not.
Mom dropped me off at the school. Pinole Valley High school was huge! I couldn't believe my eyes. There were so many people. I couldn't possibly be an outcast in this school. The bell rang and I had to go to my homeroom. I had no idea where I was going.
"Hey are you lost?" a voice said behind me.
"Um yes I am," I said. "I'm new here and I have no idea where I am going!"
"Hey I'm Ali. What homeroom are you in?" she asked.
"I'm Jimmy. My homeroom teacher is Ms. James," I replied.
"Cool same as me. Oh my God, is your name really Jimmy?" she said
"Yeah," I said, not sure if that was a good thing or not.
"That is so cool! I love that name!" she said as we walked to a classroom.
We walked into the classroom and Ali and I took a seat.
"Welcome to a new year at school," Ms. James said. She went on and on and on and on about how well you should do because we had a really long break. I almost fell asleep, but the bell rang. I was relieved that they didn't do that whole 'welcome the new student' thing.
I walked out of the classroom, bumping into a guy with black hair and gorgeous green eyes.
"Sorry," I said, but he didn't hear me. He just walked away with a guy with green hair.
"Hey, so what do you have first?" Ali said, from behind me.
"You scared the hell out of me! Um unfortunately I have math, a subject that I am so not good at!" I replied.
"Damn I don't. I have English which is worse by far," she said. "You wanna sit with me and my friends at lunch?"
"Yeah ok see you then," I said, waving goodbye to her.
Math seemed to take forever. We were learning about algebra *snore*. Finally, the bell rang for lunch.
I walked into the cafeteria. It was huge! There were so many people. I couldn't see Ali, but she found me.
"Hey, there you are," she said, scaring the shit out of me once again. She handed me a tray.
"Thanks," I said. We lined up, got our food and sat down at a table.
"Ok Jimmy, meet my group of friends. This Jessie, Morgan and Erin."
"Hey Jimmy! Is that your real name?" they all asked at the same time.
"Yeah, do you guys like it?" I asked them. "No one at my old school was like that."

Finally the day was over! School was ok today but seriously I still hate it. I walked out to the front of the school and waited for Mom to pick me up. An hour later I was still waiting and waiting and waiting...
