This One Girl I Used To Know, chapter 2
Rebel's P.O.V
Arianna just hit on Billie Joe. No way could I let her violate him like that. I grabbed his hand to make Arianna jealous. Well, that did it all right. When she walked away, Billie Joe totally shook my hand off of his. I felt embarrassed so I stared at my Math paper and suddenly felt Matt push my arm. I look up and notice that everyone is packing up. I guess the bell rang. I look over to my left and Billie Joe is gone. I guess he took off too. I ask Matt where Billie Joe was. Matt says, "Oh, he just kinda ran out of here. I don't know what happened."
I look at the floor and say, "Oh, okay. I get it." Matt sat on the floor and looked up at me.
"Hey Rebel," he says, "What's wrong?"
I look at him and say, "Well, Arianna totally hit on him while you were trying to figure out problem number nine. I grabbed Billie Joe's hand because I wanted to make Arianna feel jealous. You know how I am. Then Arianna walked away. Then...then Billie Joe shook me off...I feel really bad now. Maybe he does like Arianna."
Matt's P.O.V
Yikes, I feel sorry for Rebel. She's the coolest, most rebellious and hard-core girl I know, yet she is also the most caring and softhearted girl I know. The look on her face could break my heart...I helped her get up and piggybacked her to Social Studies. When I was in there, I saw James talking to Karma and Nickole. Billie Joe was on the other side of the table, not talking to anyone. I dropped Rebel on the desk and told Karma to take good care of her. As, I made my way to Language Arts, I noticed that Jeremy, Parker and Darren were quietly talking.
As I approached, Parkers says, "Hey dude, what's up with the new kid? Is he even apart of "us"? In the hall, I saw him talking to Arianna and she was all over him."
At first I said,
"Umm, well I don't know." Then I felt a little guilty about what I knew so I told them what had happened in Math. They all had this weird look on their faces.
Darren said, "Well, do you think she likes Billie Joe?"
I curiously looked at him and said, "Why would you say that?" Well, for a fact, she wasn't so nice to me when I first met her. I had to pass some sort of test, or something. She just let Billie Joe in."
This thought lingered in my mind...does she really like him? Or is this her "test"? I looked at Darren and said, "Well, I don't know, but I'm going over to her house today. I could ask her."
Jeremy said, "Why are you going over to her house?"
"Because we're doing band auditions." Jeremy looked confused.
"But I thought she already had Choke...what happened to them?"
Parker said, "Rebel got rid of it because she didn't have the time. It was when Karma had her breakdown."
I felt as is this conversation was going on for too long. Finally I said, "Well anyway, we're starting a new band called Cyanide. We need a bassist, a drummer and a lead singer."
Darren said, "But isn't Rebel gonna be the lead singer? She loves to sing!"
"Well, I don't know. Anyone of you care to join the band?"
Parker says, "Well, I guess to could play the drums."
I said, "Well, come by tonight okay?" The rest of the period was silent.
A week later
Rebel's P.O.V
I haven't spoken to Billie Joe for a week. I feel so bad, and I can't even say sorry. Gosh, what is wrong with me? * Sigh * Maybe, I'll try and talk to him today. I don't know. So today, I as I sat down, I noticed that Matt wasn't here, so it was just me and Billie Joe today. Great! So, anyway, I sat down and Billie Joe didn't even look at me. Fine, I thought, be like that. We just sat in silence the whole period. I couldn't even concentrate. Finally the bell rang and I quickly got up and rushed towards the door. I basically ran to my locker and threw all my books in.
I was so "crazy" that I didn't even notice Parker opening his locker next to me. Once I slammed my locker closed, I finally saw him. He was leaning against his locker watching me.
I looked at him and said, "Oh hey Hun, how've you been?"
He looked at me and said, "Rebel, why are you tense around Billie Joe? I mean I know what happened, okay? But that was a week ago."
I sighed and I felt the tears running down my cheeks. "Because okay?! I just don't know what wrong with me! I try to say sorry, but I just can't!" I walked away.
Parker's P.O.V
I just watched her walk away. I love her. She's like my kid sister. I mean, we've been through everything together. I've known her forever. I just turned my back and also walked away. I'm gonna let her think about this situation for a while. Meanwhile, I gotta talk to Billie Joe. I spotted him walking down to Math, I sort pulled him aside, more like dragged him aside.
"Dude, what the heck did you do to Rebel?"
He looks at me and says, "I didn't do anything. I swear. I don't know what happened." This kid couldn't tell me anything.
Rebel's P.O.V
Okay, I've finally made up my mind to apologize. In Social Studies, I sat next to Billie Joe and said, "Billie Joe, I'm sorry, okay. I'm sorry that I made Arianna jealous in front of you, I'm sorry I haven't talked to you in a week, I'm just sorry about everything I've done okay."
He looked at me and said, "It's okay Rebel. I forgive you... maybe it's just the way you are, and you can't help that."
I smiled and hugged him. At least I got that off my shoulder. I just still a little confused about the whole Arianna deal. I turned to him and said, "Do you really like Arianna?" He looked at me with this strange look in his eyes.
He said, "No, but that day when she hit on me, I talked to her after class and she had a lot of crap to talk about you. She totally thinks that she owns me. That weirdo." Again, I smiled.
Billie Joe's P.O.V
Well, at least we're talking again. I couldn't be more grateful. The whole day went by fine. At lunch I found out that Rebel's in a band called Cyanide. Cool. She's gonna play lead guitarist and back up vocalist. Matt is back up guitarist. Parker is on the drums. Thorn is lead vocalist. Darren is on the bass.
I think I'm gonna ask her out...but I don't know yet.

I sighed and I felt the tears running down my cheeks. "Because okay?! I just don't know what wrong with me! I try to say sorry, but I just can't!" I walked away.
Parker's P.O.V

He looked at me and said, "It's okay Rebel. I forgive you... maybe it's just the way you are, and you can't help that."

Billie Joe's P.O.V
Well, at least we're talking again. I couldn't be more grateful. The whole day went by fine. At lunch I found out that Rebel's in a band called Cyanide. Cool. I think I'm gonna ask her out...but I don't know yet.
