Hawthorne Heights (A Green Day Horror Story), chapter 11
Mike Drove and Adrienne sat in the front. Tre sat in the back with Billie on his lap. "We have to hurry. He's become cold and pale," Tre said.
"I'm going as fast as I can," Mike said stepping on the gas harder.
"HURRY UP! I don't want him to die," Adrienne screamed.
Mike turned into the hospitals parking lot. He pulled into a parking space. They all go out. Mike carried Billie inside. He ran in and screamed. "I NEED A DOCTOR, NOW! HE'S DYING!"
A bunch of doctors came running up to them. They got a stretcher and laid Billie on it. They wheeled him into the operating room. Mike, Tre, and Adrienne sat in the waiting room. Adrienne couldn't stop crying.
"Please. He has to be ok. I need him. I can't live without him. I love him," Adrienne said wiping her tears.
"It's going to be ok Adie. He's not going to die," Mike said comforting her.
A doctor came out and walked over to them.
"Is he alive?" Adrienne asked right away.
"I'm afraid I have some bad news," the doctor started.
"OH MY GOD!" Adrienne screamed running into the operating room. A bunch of doctors ran after her.
"There's also good news. The bad news is, he's in a coma. He has lost so much blood. The good news is, there is a good chance of him waking up soon," The doctor said.
Meanwhile Adrienne was looking for Billie. She spotted him in a room. She ran in and went up to him. She broke down when she saw him. He was pale and had an oxygen mask over his face. He had IV's running out of his arms, and his stomach was bandaged heavily. If the heart monitor wasn't beeping she would've thought he was dead. She held his hand. She started to cry more when she felt how cold it was. Melissa appeared in the room. "YOU! This is all your fault. You made him like this," Adrienne screamed at her.
"No. I didn't. My mom did. I love Billie. I want him to live. It's my mom that wants him dead," Melissa said.
"Get out of here. I don't want to see you anywhere near Billie," Adrienne ordered.
"But..." Melissa said.
"OUT!" Adrienne screamed.
"Fine then," Melissa said starting to cry. She then dissapeared.
Suddenly the heart monitor started beeping fast. "NO!" Adrienne screamed.
A bunch of doctors and nurses came into the room. "Miss, What are you doing in here? You need to wait in the waiting room," a nurse said pushing her out the door.
"NOOOOO! BILLIE!" Adrienne screamed as the nurse tried to get her out of the room. She saw a doctor charge up the shock pads and place them on Billie's chest. His body jumped but the monitor still had a flat line. He tried it again. Still nothing. He tried it one last time. It didn't work. "NOOOOOOO! BILLIE! COME BACK!" Adrienne cried. Billie was dead. The nurse took her back to the waiting room. She was crying so much now.
"Adrienne? What happened?" Mike asked.
"He's... he's... DEAD!" Adrienne said crying harder. Mike and Tre comforted her. They started crying too.
"It was her! That little girl. She did it," Adrienne said.
"What do you mean. I thought she loved Billie?" Mike said.
"I yelled at her. I said she wanted him dead, and I told her not to go near him, and thats when the heart monitor went flat," Adrienne said still crying.
A doctor came out again and walked over to them. "I'm sorry but Mr. Armstrong didn't make it. If you would like you may visit him for the last time. I'm really sorry," The doctor said.
They all went to see Billie. There were a few doctors in there when they came in. Mike went over to Billie and held his hand. He noticed it felt warm. "He feels warm," Mike said.
"Oh. Good news. We got him back. The heart monitor started beeping on its own," a doctor said.
Adrienne was very happy to hear this. She ran her fingers through Billie's hair.
"He should wake up in about an hour," The doctor said.
They all went back into the waiting room and waited for Billie to wake up.
