Hawthorne Heights (A Green Day Horror Story), chapter 12
Mike and Tre waited hours for Billie to wake up.
"I can't take it anymore! This is driving me nuts!" Tre said getting up. He ran over to Billie's bed and started shaking him violently. "BILLIE!!!! WAKE UP ALREADY!!!!" Tre screamed.
Mike ran over to Tre. "Tre! Stop. You'll kill him. He will wake up. Just give it time," Mike said.
Tre sat down. A doctor came into the room. "What's all the commotion in here? He needs to rest." The doctor asked checking on Billie.
"Tre just got really upset because Billie hasn't woken up yet," Mike said.
The doctor then pulled out a needle.
"What are you going to do to him?" Tre asked.
"Relax. Its just a sleeping drug. I want him to stay asleep. He really needs to rest. He won't be awake for a while. I want some of his wounds to heal so he won't be that sore when he wakes up," The doctor said putting the injection in Billie's arm.
"How long is he going to be asleep?" Mike asked holding Billie's hand.
"Maybe a week. Or two weeks," the doctor said.
"WHAT!!!!" Mike screamed.
"It depends on his condition. Right now he is very weak. He still has a chance of dying. I don't want his condition to get worse so I think its best to keep him asleep," The doctor said. He then walked out of the room.
"Tre, I'm scared. I don't want Billie to die, but I want to talk to him," Mike said. Tears were forming in his eyes.
"I know how you feel. I want him to talk to him too. Maybe he will get better in a few days. Maybe he won't be asleep for 2 weeks," Tre said.
A nurse came into the room. "I'm sorry but visiting hours are over," She said.
"Ok," Mike said. He kissed Billie's forehead and walked towards the door.
"We'll see you tomorrow Billie," Tre said. He also headed for the door.
Tre decided to spend the night at Mike's house. "Thanks for letting spend the night Mike," Tre said lying down on the couch.
"Your welcome. We'll visit Billie first thing in the morning," Mike said turning out the light.
The next morning they went straight to the hospital. They walked up to Billie's room. When they got there they screamed. The room was empty. The bed was made neatly. All of the machines were against the wall. The started to cry. A doctor was passing by. Mike grabbed him and screamed.
"WHERE IS HE?!!!!!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!!!!!!" Mike screamed.
"Sir calm down. What are you talking about?" The doctor asked.
"Billie Joe Armstrongs room is empty. Where is he?" Mike said nastily.
"We had to take him to the Emergency Room. Somehow the IV's attached to him came out and the oxygen mask was taken off. Billie slipped unconscious. We lost him once. Right now there trying to get him to breathe," The doctor said. His pager beeped. "I have to go. There's something wrong with Billie. I will tell you everything as soon I get back," The doctor said and ran to the ER.
"Oh My God. This is it. He's dead. I can't believe it," Tre said sitting down.
"The doctor didn't say that," Mike said.
"But, I just know it," Tre said.
"Lets go see him," Mike suggested.
They walked to the ER and watched through the window. Doctors surrounded him trying to get him to breathe.
Just then Kristen appeared. She looked happy.
"You! You did this! When the fuck are you going to stop trying to kill Billie?" Mike yelled.
"As soon as he's dead. Which I think will be right now. I was the one who took the IV's out and I also took his Oxygen mask off and crushed his lungs. Try to get him breathing now. Muhahahaha. I have finally done it. I have finally killed him," Kristen said evily. She then disappeared.
"No! She's lying. Billie can't be dead," Mike said looking through the window at Billie's helpless body.
