Hawthorne Heights (A Green Day Horror Story), chapter 14
The doctor came out of the O.R. and told Mike and Tre they could see Billie.
"He's in room 386," the doctor said. "Come on I'll take you there,"
Mike and Tre followed him to Billie's room. Billie was asleep. Mike and Tre went next to his bed. His chest was bandaged, and he was hooked up to a heart monitor.
"I'll leave you alone with him for about an hour," the doctor said. He walked out of the room.
Mike held Billie's hand. "Come on Billie wake up," Mike said rubbing Billie's hand.
"Come on. We need you to come back," Tre said. His eyes filled up with tears.
They both sat down in the chairs that were on the other side of the room. Mike listened to Billie's slow breathing. He started crying.
"Don't worry Mike, He's going to be fine," Tre said putting his arm around Mike.
"I know. It's just the way he's breathing. It sounds like he's in pain," Mike said wiping his eyes.
Billie was beginning to stir. He opened his eyes and looked around. He saw Mike and Tre on the other side of the room. "Mike? Tre? Is that you?" Billie asked.
"Billie! Your awake. How are you feeling?" Mike asked.
"My chest hurts and it feels like something is poking me," Billie said.
"They had to insert a chest tube. Kristen crushed both of your lungs," Tre said.
"When is she going to stop hurting me?" Billie said sitting up.
"Hopefully now. She said when your dead. She thought you were dead when she crushed your lungs," Mike said.
The doctor came in. "Mr. Armstrong? How are you feeling?" he asked.
"Ok. I'm a little hungrey," Billie said.
"Ok. I'll go get you something to eat," the doctor said.
He came back with a sandwich and a cup of water.
"Here you go," he said putting the tray down on the side.
"Thanks," Billie said. He took a bite of the sandwich.
"This isn't to bad actually," Billie said.
A Week Later
"Mr. Armstrong, your ok to go home now," the doctor said.
"Yes. Finally," Billie said jumping out of bed.
"Just take it easy. Dont forget your only breathing through one of your lungs," the doctor warned him.
"Ok. I'll be careful," Billie said. He went downstairs and called Mike.
"Hello," Mike said.
"Hi. It's Billie. Can you drive me home. They said I was allowed to go home," Billie said.
"Sure. I'll be there in 5," Mike said.
"Thanks, man," Billie said.
"No problem." Mike said. He then hung up. He went outside to his car. He opened the door and got into the drivers seat. He drove to the hospital. Billie was waiting outside for him.
"Thanks for coming," Billie said.
"Anything for a friend," Mike said. He drove Billie to his house. "Have a goodnight. If you need anything just call," Mike yelled out the window.
"Ok. I will," He said walking to the front door. He got out his key and went inside. "Adrienne? Are you home?" He yelled. No one answered. "That's wierd. Her car is here," He said to himself. He went upstairs to his room. When he got there he screamed. Adrienne was tied to a chair with a rag over her mouth. "Adrienne!!!! What happened?" He was about to take the rag and ropes off but someone grabbed him before he was able to. The figure pushed Billie into a chair and tied him up. He then realized who the figure was.
"He's in room 386," the doctor said. "Come on I'll take you there,"
