Hawthorne Heights (A Green Day Horror Story), chapter 9
"I saved him," a little girl's voice said.
Mike and Tre turned around. It was Melissa.
"I don't understand. I thought you wanted to kill him also?" Mike said.
"No. My mom forced me to take her side. I didn't want to, but she threatened me," Melissa said.
"I'm confused. You're 8 years old. How could that lady be your mom?" Tre asked.
"Her name is Kristen. She was a whore. That's right, I called my mom a whore. She would bring home a different guy every night. I have no idea who my real father is. The other ghost wasn't my father. He was just one of my mom's boyfriends. I think that's why Billie cheated. He found out about my mom being a whore," Melissa said. "Now, enough talking. We have to get to the hospital to see if Billie's ok."
Mike and Tre jumped into the car as Melissa dissapeared.
"Hey! Melissa?" Mike yelled.
Melissa reappeared. "What?"
"Are you coming to the hospital?" Mike asked.
"Yeah. I'll meet you there," she said and disappeared again.
Mike and Tre drove quickly to the hospital. They rushed in and ran to the receptionist.
"What can I do for you boys?" She smiled.
"What room is Billie Joe Armstrong in?" Mike asked, out of breath.
"He's in room 310. Go upstairs to the 3rd floor and to the right," she said.
"Thank you," Tre said.
They ran to the elevator and took it to the 3rd floor. They ran down the hall to room 310. Mike opened the door. Melissa was in there.
"Hi guys," she said.
"How is he?" Tre asked.
"He's going to be fine. I heard the nurse say he should be awake in about an hour," Melissa said.
"That's good," Mike said, holding Billie's hand.
1 Hour Later
Billie was starting to wake up. He slowly opened his eyes. He looked around. He had no idea where he was. He noticed Mike next to him. "Mike?" Billie asked weakly.
"Billie! You're awake. How are you feeling?" Mike asked.
"My stomach hurts," Billie said.
"You got stitches," Tre said.
Billie noticed Melissa.
"What's she doing here?" Billie asked, frightened.
"It's ok Billie. She saved you. She's not evil. Her mom is. She made her try and kill us," Mike said.
"Oh. I just hope I never see that ghost again," Billie said.
"Don't worry. You won't," Tre said.
Billie laid down on the bed. "I'm tired," he said, closing his eyes.
"We'll let you sleep and visit you later," Tre said.
Billie didn't answer. He was asleep.
They stayed there until Billie woke up.
The next day Billie was allowed to go home. He had Mike drop him off at his house. He couldn't wait to see Adrienne again. He opened the door and went inside. The house was quiet. He went into his room and screamed. Adrienne was tied to the chair with a gag over her mouth. Kristen (the female ghost) was standing over her with a knife. Adrienne's mascara was running.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing to my wife?" Billie screamed.
"I'm going to kill her. Then you can go out with me again. Muhahaha," Kristen laughed. She brought the knife over her head. Adrienne's eyes widened in fear.
Mike and Tre turned around. It was Melissa.
"I don't understand. I thought you wanted to kill him also?" Mike said.

"Hey! Melissa?" Mike yelled.

"How is he?" Tre asked.
"He's going to be fine. I heard the nurse say he should be awake in about an hour," Melissa said.
"That's good," Mike said, holding Billie's hand.
1 Hour Later

"We'll let you sleep and visit you later," Tre said.
