He looked at me, then Steph, and began to sob uncontrollably.
"Mom! Why are you crying?!" Steph asked in a sort of yelling tone.
My eyes and Steph's mom's eyes met, then I reccognized her immeadietly. At theat point, I knew it was time to tell Steph the truth.
"Your dad isnt really your dad," I said to Steph.
"You're joking right?" Steph replied back.
"This isn't a joke," I said seriously.
"Alright then, who's my real dad?" Steph said back.
Steph's mom looked up and pointed directly at me.
"Are you kidding me?! One of my idols is my dad?!" Steph said, suprised.
"Dude, you're so lucky!" Courtney yelled, jumping up and down on the couch. Tré thought it would be fun, so he jumped with her.
"When did all of this happen?" Steph asked me.
In 1991, sometime in December, I got your mom pregnant and she left me," I said.
"Well, I knew I resembled you so much more than my dad," Steph said.
'Well, that was the good news," I said.
"There's bad news too?" Steph replied.
"Unfortunately, but you know Adrienne?"
"Sort of, why?"
"She left me and took the kids and the house, she called me a couple weeks ago saying that."
"So, were are you living?"
"I found out you were in Spokane, and the house next to your house was for sale, so I bought that over the internet."
"So, my dad is going to settle down in a smaller house? Sounds awesome. You can use our basement as a band room."
"Thank you, I wouldn't know where to put all the instruments."
"Anytime."
"So, what school are you currently going to?"
"Bowdish Middle School."
"I enrolled her in 6th grade about 2 years ago." Steph's mom said.
"I havent seen get in about 14 years then," I said.
"Yup."
"Well, Why don't you guys ride the tour bus with us."
"Okay! That's awesome!" Courtney said.
Steph and Courtney ran up the stairs of the tour bus and flopped on the couch. The bus took us to the hotel everyone was at and picked up the stuff they had and headed home.
