Gülüsü Dünya Kadardi-ama bizi kurtaramadi (not so ordinary), chapter 4
Then she laughed too. "I'm not. It's just good to know that nice people still exist. I mean, my friends can understand me, and a couple people in my school, but I thought that was all. I'm relieved now."
They all smiled, and Tré giglled a bit. Then she reached into her bag again, and she took her watch off.
"I gotta go. It's 4.30 already." She packed her things and stood up. "I really had a good time. Thanks for the joint, Billie Joe. And thanks for the conversation. Bye!"
"Ok, bye Melis," they said.
"Hope to see you again," Mike said, but she was already walking down the road, so she didn't hear.
"Man, that's interesting. There's a conservatory in Berkeley," said Billie Joe.
"Are you still there?" said Tré to Billie Joe.
"It's just- I didn't know it. But I'm not the only one who is behind," he said, pointing to Mike.
"Hey, Earth to Mike, are you here?"
"Uh, yes, I was just thinking."
"Ok, but we gotta go now. We must practice before our gig. We gotta be ready," said Billie Joe.
"Let's go!" Tré said as he stood up. Then the three headed to Billie Joe's house to have a band practice.
She was walking down the road with her bag hanging on her shoulders. You could still see the sun, but it was hiding behind the clouds. Her way was a little long to walk, so she took off her headphones. The Clash was filling her ears. She continued to walk. Then she felt someone holding her arm. She turned and saw Dan: her boyfriend. She took off her headphones and smiled like that was the best thing that could happen.
"You know I love Clash too, but all the street can hear from this volume. Plus, I shouted to you a thousand times, and you still didn't hear me," he said.
She didn't say anything, just hugged him tightly and kissed him passionately. When they seperated she smiled, "Smartass. I missed you."
"Yeah Mel, I missed you too."
"What happened in New Jersey?" she asked.
"A lot of relatives, and cryings-mostly fake. They just try to look like they loved him so much. Jerks, they just want the fucking money," he said, his eyes were teared, but angry.
"I'm really sorry about your grandfather, Dan. And I'm realy sorry that you had to see this in the funeral."
"Thanks Mel, I don't know what would I do without you, and I really don't wanna know."
She smiled again. Her smile made him feel better again.
'Man, she has something that makes me crazy' he thought.
"So, where are we going?" he said.
"Hmm, what about my house? My mom and dad are out tonight. And I wanna make you feel better."
"Oh, and how are you gonna do this?"
"Hmm, smartass, of course I'm gonna do it with...soup!"
"Soup?"
"I'm gonna cook you soup, soup can cure every kind of sickness, according to my mom," she said with an innocent smile. "What did you think?"
"Oh, you know what I thought."
"Oh, do I? I don't think so." She still had that innocent look. He raised an eyebrow.
"Ok, ok. I know," she said and kissed him again. He pulled her when she kissed him. He wanted a long kiss, he put his tongue into her mouth. But she bit his tongue.
"Ouch!"
"Not here," she said, and took his hand. They began to walk to Melis' house. The sun was no longer shining, and the wind was starting.
'That's strange,' she thought. She was getting cold. But she didn't care. Dan was with her, and she had missed him so much. She was happy. Dan put his arm around her shoulder.
"You're cold," he said.
"It's not important. We'll be there soon," she said.
He didn't say anything, just opened the zip of his jacket and took it off. Then he put it onto Melis' shoulders.
"You don't have to do that," she said.
"Shh... " he said and kissed her quickly. She looked at his dark blue eyes and kissed his neck. He turned to her and smiled.
She was looking at her feet while they were walking. 'Heh, Converse, my dear Converse.' Then she looked at his feet. 'Vans, I like his Vans.' You can call her whatever you want, but she likes Converse and Vans, and they are the only shoes that she wears. That's just it.
They reached the house; she unlocked the door, and they went inside.
"I can take this off now, it's warm here," he said, while he was slowly starting to take it off.
"You can, but only the jacket. I'm cold, and I wanna drink smething hot. Maybe coffee... Do you want any?" she said.
"Sure," he said.
"Ok." She went into the kitchen and started to make some coffee.
"So, how was school? Did I miss anything?" he asked.
"Well, I got a detention today, for a week, but nothing important. I got kicked out from a class, that's why I wasn't at school today. I met some guys and hung out with them a little. I guess that's all."
"Ok," he said; he didn't make any trouble, he wasn't that type of a guy. He was more relaxed, and he trusted her with everything.
"Here you go," she said as she set the coffee on the table. They sat and began to drink. He just stared at her with her coffee. 'Coffee and Melis, what a wonderful couple,' he thought. He saw the light in her eyes, brown, deep eyes. The light that he saw when he had first met her. She was a badass, trouble, punk teenager for everyone's opinion. But he didn't give a fuck to them; he wanted to know this girl really bad. And when he knew her, he couldn't stay away from her. Everybody was saying she was young for him, but he could see that wasn't true. He thought about this when he was drinking his coffee.
"You finished?" she asked.
"Yeah. You?"
"Yes. What do you wanna do?"
"I don't know. What time is it?" he asked.
She looked at the clock on the table. "5:20. Why?"
"When will your parents come home?"
"I dunno. Late."
"Let's go to the living room. Just watch some tube."
"Ok."
He knew the house, so he went into the living room without searching. They sat side by side, and Melis opened the TV. There wasn't anything good, so they were making fun of whatever came onto the screen. She put her head on his chest; he hugged her tightly. She knew that the lost of his grandfather was hard for him; he had loved him, so she asked:
"Are you ok?"
"I'll be," he said and kissed her. They started slowly, but it was getting more passionate. Their tongues met; she sat on his lap and continued kissing. Her fingers were brushing his brown hair.
They all smiled, and Tré giglled a bit. Then she reached into her bag again, and she took her watch off.
