I never thought I would ever see so much lingerie. Or colors or styles of lingerie. Jeez! Oh well. At least this will be worth it, since Sam is mine!
"You like this?" Sam asked me as she held up a black bra with some lace on it, her size. I pictured it on her.
"Yeah, that's good," I said. "If you like it, it's cool."
"Cool." Sam mimicked him and laughed.
"What?" I asked, confused.
"That's your last name," she said, keeping it and moving onto another rack.
"Right. Ha, ha," I said as she searched for her size in a new style and colour. It was then that I actually took note of her size.
"What?" my new girlfriend asked as I looked away and blushed. God this was bad. I could feel my cheeks heating up.
"Nothing. Just ignore me. Keep going," I said and managed to look back at her. I was so nervous now.
"Okaaaay," she said and put another bra in her 'try on' arm. She started to look for underwear now, occasionally asking me for my opinion. I always said it was cool, and she would always giggle at it. I must admit, it was quite boring in a way, but just cause I was spending time with her, just her and me, made it special. And there was the odd thing that I seriously would have loved to see her in. Just in that. Anyway, she tried one everything and bought everything. Then we moved on to a male punk store. Finally it was my turn.
"Whoa! Leather jackets galore!" I said as I saw the rack full of leather jackets. Sam raised her eyebrows. "I need a new one."
"I'm sure you do," Sam said and I grinned at her. I tried on one that was my size and checked myself out in the mirror.
"What do ya think?"
"It's ... hmmm... cool," she replied and we laughed. I then tried on a few more things and then went over to the counter to buy them all. My cell phone beeped in my pocket.
"Can you get that?" I asked her as I handed money over the counter and she took it out and read it.
"Mike's going to propose!" she announced. "He asked Billie Joe if he should and he said yes! Oh my God!"
"We have to get back there," I said and quickly paid for everything. We rushed over to the café, seeing Billie Joe coming out of a store.
"He's going to do it!" Billie Joe said and joined us.
"No duh! He text me too, you know!" I said and we hurried into the café.
"Where is he?" Billie Joe asked as he saw the empty booth where they were before.
"Hey, did that guy with that girl sitting there leave?" I asked the man behind the counter and pointed to their booth.
"Yes," the man replied slowly.
"Tre," Sam said. "They would still be here if they hadn't left. Duh!"
"My bad," I said and we ran out of the café. "Where did they go?"
"There," Billie Joe said and pointed to the elevator. Mike and Anastasia had just entered the elevator with their arms around each other's waist.
"Hey! Mike!" I yelled, but they didn't realise and the doors shut. "Stairs!" I ran over to the stairs, pulling Sam with me by her hand and Billie Joe following. We ran up the stairs as fast as we could, knocking over a few people and bumping into some more. We reached the second floor just as the elevator did, but Mike and Anastasia didn't get out. We kept on going until the very top. We had beat the elevator and stared at it, waiting for them to get out. The doors opened and a few teenagers and an old lady walked out.
"I don't believe it." Sam was as shocked as me and Billie Joe were. They weren't there. My cell phone beeped again. Sam still had it and she read it out loud. "Where are you guys?"
"Give it here," Billie Joe said, snatching it off her. He then pressed 'Call Mike' on the phone and started yelling. "Yeah, hi. We've ran all the way to the top floor, just to find you two, and you're not even here!" After about ten seconds he hung up.
"Well?" I asked.
"They got off at the last moment on the floor under us. They're coming up," he said and looked at the stairs, waiting. Soon enough, Mike and Anastasia came up.
"Hey guys," Mike said. "Guess what?" Anastasia smiled at him and he nodded.
"We're getting married!" Anastasia said and showed them her hand. There was a gorgeous and obviously expensive wedding ring on her finger.
"Oh my God!" Sam said. "Congratulations!" She rushed over to her to check out the ring.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Anastasia asked as Billie Joe and I congratulated Mike.
"Sure hope I'm invited," I said and Mike laughed.
"Sorry Tre, we're gonna miss you out," he said and they all laughed.
"Ha, ha. Good one...you're joking, right?" I asked.
"Wow! So, guess you're not going to spend the rest of the day with us then?" Billie Joe asked the engaged couple.
"Nah, but I'll see ya's tomorrow after she goes back home to California," Mike said.
"Bye." They walked back down the steps, hand in hand.
"Right, lets take the elevator this time," I said as the doors opened. We walked into our hotel and chilled out.
"I seriously can't believe that they are getting married!" Billie Joe yelled as he slammed the door behind him.
