Sam could see their bodyguards looking over at them, and she could feel her guards looking at her. Green Day was one of the latest bands out, and they were already so popular. And they were only 21. Sam Scott and Green Day were fighting for N.o. 1 spot. But they had never met each other and they weren't enemies and they didn't go around insulting each other either. Sam actually kind of looked up to them, since they had great music, lyrics, style and attitude.
"Oh my God!" Sam was excited now, but managed to keep her voice low. "I've always wanted to meet you guys!" She saw Mike and Tre looking past Billie Joe at her, not too sure what to say or do. Billie Joe smiled. Cute smile, Sam thought and then looked at Tre as he spoke.
"Wow. Same here," Tre said and grinned too.
"You guys rock!" Sam exclaimed, her grin getting bigger.
"We know." Mike beamed at her, saying thanks for the compliment, but we already know that.
"Yeah, but how about Perfect Girl? Now we have to rock even harder cause of that!" Billie Joe commented.
"Perfect Girl only came out because of you three!" Sam said, amazed. "I had to better than you guys!"
"And that only came out because you worked with Maroon 5! And that only happened because Adam Levine fell for ya, offered you the contract and re-did just about all of his songs, making Harder To Breathe featuring Sam Scott N.o. 1!" Tre said and they laughed.
"Okay, I would keep going but I'm not going to. I get the point," Sam said and laughed along with them. The plane suddenly went from taking off to horizontal. The captain or one of the flight attendants put on the radio. It started to play Harder To Breather featuring Sam Scott, already half way through the song, starting the second chorus.
"See? And it is sitting on N.o. 4 at the moment!" Mike said and Sam rolled her eyes. Then she started to hum along to the tune. It was a good song, and they all knew it.
"Is there anyone out there? Cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe." Adam's voice and hers combined sounded good, and the music was great as well, but something wasn't right about it. Sam liked it, but it wasn't her, and neither were her other songs.
"Does it kill, does it burn, is it painful to learn, that it's me who has all the control?" The song was almost over already.
"So, why are you going to New York?" she asked them.
"Just for a break. You too?" Billie Joe asked her. After that song had finished, the captain came over the speaker again.
"You may now turn on your devices and get up and walk. The toilets are located at the back of the plane. Once again, enjoy the flight." Then the radio started to play Vacation by Simple Plan. Billie Joe poked out his tongue and looked up. Sam giggled at him and he stopped and smiled. He was funny and cute, what else can he be?
"Simple Plan sucks!" Tre said, as if reading Billie Joe's mind and then speaking his thoughts. "They think they're waaaaay better than us, but they're not!"
"I'd say!" Sam agreed with Tre, who nodded in approval. After at least an hour of chatting, Sam excused herself to the toilet.
"Man, she is wicked," Mike said as he watched her walk away down to the other end of the plane.
"I know," Billie Joe said. "Style, attitude, funk, everything."
"Don't forget she is as hot as!" Tre said and they chuckled to themselves, in guy language, agreeing with him.
"So, who's making the first move?" Billie Joe asked and the other stared at him. He rolled his eyes. "You guys are so lame. Leaving it up to me." He hoped that one of them would change their mind, but they didn't. Sam came back from the toilet and sat back down next to Billie Joe again.
"What did I miss?" she asked. They were still staring at Billie Joe.
"Uh..." Billie Joe shifted nervously in his seat, and then faced her. "We were wondering, since you're so great and all, if you wanted to sing with us? You know, like you did with Maroon 5, but stay with us."
"You what?" Sam asked, stunned that they had actually talked this over in a minute.
"Just forget it. I didn't say anything," Billie Joe said and looked down.
"No!" Billie Joe's eyes flicked up and looked at her eyes. "No, I guess I could give it shot." Billie Joe turned around to Mike and Tre and mouthed 'YES!' He turned back around.
"Cool. So, where are you staying?" he asked.
