Those Damn Cheerios..., chapter 3

Tre slammed the door shut behind him, face red, and fist bloody. He stomped down the hallway and into the living room, fuming. How could his best friend sleep with his own girlfriend?!? They had been friends for so long, that just wasn't him... It would have been more like Billie to do that, not Mike. Mike?!? Tre was glad that Mike was laying out on the grass, bleeding, feeling damn guilty for himself. He sure as hell deserved it.

Tre reached over the coffee table, and grabbed the lamp that was sitting on the table. He threw it at the wall, making it shatter into a million sharp peices. He needed to get his anger out. He needed to feel better.

"JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!!! GOD DAMMIT!" He screamed into the air, listening to his anger echo througout the house. He sat down onto the couch, and started to cry. Hot tears streaming down his face. He held his face in his hands. It was just another person that hurt him. He had lost another relationship with another girl. He could never keep one for very long. Why? Why did this always have to happen to him? Why couldn't he be like every other guy, who gets the girl, and live happily ever after?

He got up, and stumbled over to the phone, and dialed Billie's number. It rang at least three times before anybody picked up.

"Hello? Armstrong residence." It was Joseph.

"Hey Joseph... Can you put your Dad on the phone please?" Tre barely choked those words out among all the tears.

"Uh.. yeah... sure, hold on." He heard Joseph call for Billie, and after a moment or two, Billie picked up.

"Tre? What's wrong. Joseph said you were crying?" Billie was definately worried. Tre rubbed his eyes clear of tears, just for them to fill back up again.

"I-.. uh.. Mike came over today." Tre croaked. He hated to say it. He couldn't bare to. Why did everything always go wrong for him? "He told me that he's slept with my girlfriend..." Tre heard Billie gasp. There was a long silence, as Tre kept on crying.

"Good God, Tre... I'm so sorry... Mike? Are you sure?!? He doesn't seem like the on-" Tre cut him off, angerly.

"YES! What the fuck did I just say?!? He said he slept with her! I couldn't fucking believe it either, Billie! But he would never lie about shit like that!" Tre screamed into the phone. Tre tried to calm down, but the picture of Mike kissing her... doing her... It just wasn't right, it just made him start fuming again.

"Oh my God... Tre... I'm really sorry... Well... What did you do? I know he couldn't have told you, and just left!" That was another hard thing for Tre to say. He had hit his best friend, made him bleed. He could be still sprawled in the grass at this very moment.

"I-uhh... I-I hit him... a few good times... he was lying in the grass... I just left him there..." Another awkward silence.

Tre heard the sound of an engine, a car leaving his drive way. It must have been Mike. Some how, Tre hoped that he wasn't ok, even if Mike had been his best friend, he just wanted somebody else to hurt for once. Not himself.

"Ugh, Tre... I hope he's okay, and that you didn't.... didn't... " Billie was at lack of words, in disbelief. Tre wouldn't have killed him, would he? No, he couldn't have.

"No... trust me, I didn't.... I wish he was fucking dead though... why the hell would he do this to me?!? WHY? Ugh..." Tre sat back down onto the sofa. He never wanted to see Mike's face ever again. Tre heard a beeping noise come from Billie's end of the phone.

"Umm.. Tre" Billie seemed a little nervous by all of this. "I have another call on the other line."
