Green Day Baby, chapter 10

"You have no right to be here! I could call the cops on you," she lectures.
"Its just-" Tre starts.
"Oh, I get itm" The woman laughs. "You're rock stars so the law and will of others doesn't apply to you."
"That's not it at all," Mike starts. "We just wanted to check up on Rosie, make sure she's alright."
"That all then?" Lainey demands. "Then you can leave now."
"Auntie!" the teenager yelps, "What's the big deal?"
"The big deal? You're looking at three druggies here!"

"Umm we've been clean for like ten years now," I say raising a finger.
"S-so!"
"Okay, maybe we should just leave," Mike says as he stands up, we follow and head out the door.

"Well that was delightful," Tre mutters under his breath.
"What did you expect?!" I say bitterly as we near Tre's car.
"Wait!"

We turn around to see Rosie running after us, he blue eyes bulging with excitement just like when she was a baby.
"Uh do you think we could hang out some time or something?" she stutters.
"Sure!" Tre yelps.
"Your aunt won't call the cops, will she?" Mike asks cautiously as Rosie writes her email address down on Tre's hand.
"Nah, she'll calm down once my uncle has a say in what's happening, he thinks you're the best bass player in the history of good bass players," she says to Mike.
"Oh, uh cool."
"He plays bass as a hobby," she starts. "And so do I, I also play guitar and I know a bit of drums."
"Cool," I say chuckling.
"If you want I'll teach you how to play drums!" Tre says eagerly, he's hopping in place now.
"One thing at a time," I mumble. "We'll we'll see you around, kay?"
"Yup," she says as she heads back into her house.
