Billie Joe is missing, and all I could find was this cat!, chapter 1
Sydney was woken late one night, the clock flashed three am, and she knew who she was going to meet now. She heard the soft tapping at the window, knowing That was her cat. She walked through the dark room wearing nothing but baggy boxers and a bra. She lifted the moonlit window and let the black cat with the brilliant green eyes in. She had named the cat Front-man , after the famous front man of Green Day turned up missing the day she found him. The cat purred and snuggled up to her bare stomache. His fur tickled her bare flesh as she lifted him into her be and tried to sleep. She was nervous about the found posters her dad had made her put up for Front-man. She sighed. whats the point of sleeping? I'm not tired anymore, Front-man's awake, why not head for a walk? She thought, as she slipped on a tight Green Day shirt. Sydney had been sad since the day Billie Joe Armsrtong came up missing. She lived realitively close, and they were aquaintences. Sydney loved being able to talk to her idol on the occasion he was out when she was. She slipped on some skimers and hopped out the window with Front-man close behind.
On their way, they came across the big white house with the BMW in front. Front-man started purring and snuggling and meowing at the sight. Sydney chuckled to herself.
Sometimes it was like Front-man knew who he was named for. The walked up a litle closer. Billie Joe's house seemed a little sad since Billie came up missing. Sydney scooped up Front-man and sat on the curb, holding him close. A tear fell from her eye. She remembered how he was the good in life, after her brother committed suicide, her mom died on a crack binge, and her dad took up drinking. At least now she had Front-man now. She had told the cat every secret she had. How she had taken up cutting her pain away, how her dad had raped her, how no one at school dared talk to her. The things she mainly told Front-man were about her missing Billie. Front-man licked her hand as more tears slid from her face.
Sydney put Front-man down and began walking home. Front-man ran his body along her bare legs as she let a few more tears escape her. They both slipped in the window, and began a hard, and unwanted sleep.
She began to dream, and fell into a deep sleep. In her dream, Front-man turned into Billie Joe. They went on the walk they had tonight, but when they came to his house, instead of purring, he began to speak in Billie Joe's voice.
"I miss my family alot, but I was asked to watch over you. I love you like a daughter Sydney, and right now you need me more than they do," he said.
at that point, he hugged Sydney, but in her dream, she couldn't speak. Instead, she thought exactly what she thought on the walk. He then sat on the curb with his arm around her, as she cried.
Her dream was cut short. The buzz of her alarm clock woke her, she was not tired, but sad. Sad she couldn't get her dream back. She scooped up the now awakened Front-man and held him.
"You would not believe the dream I had Front-man," she said. Front-man looked at her, as his tail waved. She got up from the bed and stripped down, her nude body crossing the floor to her bathroom. She loved the freeness of nudity, but you may think it weird. She was bueatiful and perfect, her curved body carved out perfectly, and her auburn hair reaching her shoulders, her brown eyes peering out from the long bangs. She began to brush her teeth. Front-man came up to her and started running his body along her legs purring.
"You now, Front-man, you may be one of the luckiest cats alive to be allowed to see me naked," her voice flowed to the cat. She finished brushing her teeth and began combing her hair. The cat watched closely, and let out a long yawn and stretch. When she was finished with her hair, she began putting on her clothes.
ugh.. why are we forced into these things? she thought to herself, slipping on her "help for the search of Billie Joe" shirt. She became frightened at the sound of the door slamming, her dad was now home.
She began to panic as she heard the clunking up the stairs. "Sydney! Are you up there you fucking hoe? I need to talk to you!" Her father slurred. She became increasingly scared at his drunkeness. Front-man began to arch his back and hiss, as she grabbed her bad and jummped through the window.
She landed on her feet, as Front-man followed, tense as Sydney had seen him.
Shit shit shit! she thought, Saturday, no safeness in school... Saturday ment she wouldn't be able to go to school without fear of her dad. She rounded the corner to Billie's house. She felt a tear emerge as she speeded her walking to the end of the block. She came to a small park with swings and a slide. Front-man jumped up on her lap as she sat in the swing. She definately didn't want to go back home. She couldn't saty with any friends, because she had none.
She sat there, swinging for an hour or two, with Front-man purring in her lap.
She started rummaging in her bag to find her 'cure'.
Front-man stared at her, with a sad and disapointed look, as she found the little blade in the back of her sack. what hope do I have? no one to turn to, no company inBillie anymore, no school to shelter me. She sat there and pressed the little blade to her arm, as what had started as a quik fix, was now a depended addiction. Front-man put his paws on fer upper arm and had a look of sad begging in his eyes, as if to ask her to stop. She ignored it. She ran the blade down her arm many times. Finding comfort in her every drop of blood. Eventually, when she decided she should move on, she rolled her sleeve back down, seeing the blood soak through the black hoodie, and continued on with her hood up.
Front-man and Sydney continued on to no where in particular. Front-man was so sad for Sydney, he carried himself low, his ears back and his eye squinted.
Sydney dragged her feet along the pavement, tears hitting the cement and mixing with the light summer shower. They went on like that, until they found a group of homeless people, obviously loaded. Sydney watched one, in a simalar hoodie, motion for her to come closer. Front-man hissed.
"Can I umm...Interest you in any of these?" the man said, in a low raspy voice.
Sydney's eyes grew wide as she saw the man pull out tons of pain killers and powder.
"Umm..how much?" she asked, nervous on what she was going to do.
"For you, 15$ a line, or 10 bucks for 2 crosstops," he said, smiling evily.
Sydney handed him $10, and he gave her two pills of Ecstasy.
She looked down at he pills and thought about what they might do. Front-man jumped on her leg as they came to another alley, with a very dissapointed Look, hoping what she was about to do would never happen. She fell into a pile of old matresses. Staring at the pills. What would happen that would ever be worse than now? She would feel better, or she would die. Both were fine with her.
She gulped the pills down.
