Joey's POV
Cassie hugged me! Hugged me!!! That's all I could think of! I couldn't stop thinking of her!
I began to realise I had feelings for her. And I wondered should I do something. I wasn't sure.
I had a nagging feeling there was some reason against it. But I was so swept up I'd forgotten it.
So when Mom said someone was on the phone for me, I wished it was Cassie! But in fact, it was a reason not to think of Cassie anymore.
"Hey," Alicia's voice came out of the phone.
"Hey! Your back from New York!" I felt a little disappointed.
I felt guilty. I had being going out with Lici for three months. I couldn't just ditch her.
"Yeah! Do you want to go to the mall later?" she asked.
"Sure. Ok, I'll see you then." I was looking at my shoes by now.
"Bye. I love you," she said.
I hesitated. "Love you too."
After that, I knew I was in some serious shit! I had no idea what to do so I asked Dad. Dad said break up with Lica, it would be wrong to keep this up. But I couldn't not after she told me she loved me. I asked Tre and he just said I should go out with Cassie and Lica. I don't know why I bothered. I mean, it's Tre! And Mike told me to keep going out with Lica at least until I found out how Cassie feels about it.
I couldn't talk to Cassie for the next few days. I was too embarrassed and when I did, it was disaster.
It was so casual. We were sitting in her backyard when I moved my head sideways to look at her and I had a sudden urge to... well... kiss her. So I did.
