Something Unpredictable, But In The End Was Right., chapter 11

The next morning.

Ally woke up and got up out of bed and went and had a shower in the spare bedroom's bathroom. She went down to see if anyone was up, but it was only Mike in the kitchen, looking into his wallet. Ally walked over to him.

"What you looking at?" asked Ally.
"Nothing," said Mike, looking really scared and edgy.
"Show me," said Ally.
"No," said Mike.

Ally and Mike started to play around, Ally was jumping trying to get the picture from Mike, finally she did and when she saw it she stopped and looked up at Mike.

"Mike is this who I think it is?" asked Ally.
"I told you not to look at it," said Mike, looking upset.
"It's Ryan, it's the picture they took in the hospital," said Ally tears started to flow down her cheeks as she stood there looking at the picture of her and Mike's dead son.
"I always keep it with me," said Mike, putting his arms around Ally.
"I'm such a bad person Mike," sad Ally crying.
"No you're not, why would you say something like that?" asked Mike.
"I haven't even been down there since I got back," said Ally in between sobs.

Mike pulled Ally's chin up and he started to kiss her again. Ally didn't pull back, she kept on kissing Mike until Billie waked around the corner.

"Whoa, okay," said Billie in a sleepy voice as he turned back around and walked out of the kitchen.

Ally pulled away from Mike and started to walk away.

"Ally wait, come on," said Mike.
"No Mike, I told you I can't do this," said Ally as she walked up the stairs to the bedroom.

Ally went up to Estella's room, knocked on the door, got Eva, and went home.

Two days later Eva went to stay over at Mike's place for the night and Ally was at home in the kitchen. It was about 10 pm when there was a knock at her door so she went to answer it.
"Mike what are you doing here, shouldn't you be at home looking after the girls?" asked Ally.

"I had to come over and see you, I got a babysitter for the night," said Mike.

"A babysitter for the whole night, why?" asked Ally.

All of a sudden Mike grabbed Ally around the waist and started to kiss her. They got more and more into it, Ally lead Mike up to her bedroom. They started to kiss again, Mike's hands were going all over Ally's body, clothes were being taken off all over the place. Then they were in bed together. It was just like they had never broken up, Ally was under Mike's spell and she knew it.

Ally woke up the next morning with her head lying on Mike's chest; she heard a knock at the door so she put on her silky black robe and went to the door.

"Tre what are you doing here?" asked Ally, still half-asleep.

"Came to see you," said Tre just inviting himself in and sitting on the couch.

"Ah Tre I'm kind of busy at the moment, can I meet up with you later?" asked Ally.

"What you doing?" asked Tre.

Right then Mike came down the stairs just wearing his boxer shorts.

"Oh I see, you're busy with Mikey boy," Tre chuckled as he looked up at Mike and smiled at him. "Way to go," he said as he made his way to the door and nodded his head as if to say goodbye and shut the door behind him.

Mike looking surprised, walked down the stairs and grabbed Ally around the waist.

"Morning beautiful," he said, kissing her neck.

Ally pulled away and moved into the kitchen trying to busy herself. Mike followed with a look of confusion on his face.

"What did I do?" asked Mike.

Ally just mumbled as if she did not care to even address his question.

"Ally come on, what's up?" He asked.

"Mike, last night," she was cut off by Mike cutting in.

"If you say mistake Ally I swear I'll scream because you and I both know that it isn't, and I won't take no for an answer about you and I," he said.

"You just don't get it Mike do you? I won't hurt you again, just go okay" Ally said not even turning to look Mike in the face. She could not bare to do it.

"Fine, be this way Al, but no one will ever love you like me. We're not kids anymore Al, it's not like your mum is going to drag you away," Mike said.

Mike walked back up to the room and about 5 minutes later walked down and slammed the door as he left. Ally didn't even move but the slam of the door broke her heart into a million little bits as she sat there in the kitchen.

Back at Mike's place

"Hey Estella want to come to my house later?" asked Eva eating her cereal and dripping milk down her face.

"Yeah okay, but I have to ask my dad, where is he anyway?" Estella asked, looking puzzled.

Mike walked through the door and into the kitchen where both the girls were sitting and eating their breakfast.

"Dad where did you go last night?" asked Estella.

"Ah out, just out. Sorry, it was important," said Mike. looking around the house. "I'm going to have a shower and ah, then I'll take you home Eva okay?" said Mike going to walk off into the lounge

"Ah dad, can I go to Eva's place tonight?" asked Estella her face beaming with such child like innocence

"Yeah okay fine. Be ready by the time I get out of the shower," said Mike and he walked up the stairs.

Eva's grew with a big bright smile as she eats her cereal.

"What?" asked Estella

"Your dad smells like my mum's perfume," she said smiling

"What are you saying, my dad spent the night with your mum?" Said Estella, looking puzzled

"Maybe but I know my mum's perfume and I have never met anyone who wears the same one," laughed Eva
"My dad and your mum, no way," said Estella with a dumbfound look on her face

Mike came down after getting changed and he and the girls went to Eva's house. Mike didn't come in, he just dropped them off and drove of over to Billie's house.

"Hey mum, we're home," yelled Eva looking around trying to find her mother, but all she found was a note on the bench.

Sorry baby but I had to go in to the studio, I am guessing that Estella came to stay. I left you money to order in and I brought some new movies for you two to watch. Be back as soon as I can, but don't wait up.

Love mum xxxxoooo.

"Well it is just me and you," said Eva/

"Hey I got an idea. would your mum have any photos of my dad when he was young?" asked Estella.

"I don't know maybe, come on lets go up to her room and see," said Eva pointing her hands up to her mother's room.

Meanwhile, at Billie Joe's place

"So you and she have slept together twice and she still won't be with you?" asked Billie tilting his head to see if he had heard Mike correctly.

"Yeah she keeps on saying she doesn't want to hurt me again," Mike says looking at Billie for some sort of answer.

"Well do you want her?" he asks Mike, raising his eyebrows as if to say what a stupid question is being asked.

"For too long, of course I want her more than ever," Mike says, looking at Billie with heartbreaking eyes.

"Well you have got to make her see it Mike. I don't know, how but you have to," says Billie as he stands up, gives Mike a sympathy pat on the back, and walks into the kitchen.

Back at Ally's house the girls are up in her room, searching through boxes of photos.

"Hey what about this box at the back Eva," asks Estella.

"Open it," says Eva impatiently, waiting for Estella to take the lid off.
"Oh my god Eva, look," says Estella, Eva's head peaking over her shoulder.

"That's my dad and your mum kissing," says Estella

Both of the girls don't say a word as the go threw the rest of the photo's of Mike and Ally when they were younger, but the girls eyes widen as they come across a picture of Ally with the belly big a swollen from a baby and Mike kissing it.

"No way" says Estella

"My Mum and your dad, he is kissing her belly," says Eva, her eyes not taking themselves off the picture.

They put the photo down and come across one of a small baby wrapped in a blue blanket with its eyes closed.

"Wonder who that is," says Eva, "I don't have any cousins or a brother." She looks more at the photo and turns it around to see if there is anything on the back of it.

She screams, putting the photo to Estella's eyes.

"Ryan Pritchard," she says in a confused voice. "My dad never told me anything about a brother or cousins," she continues, "I've seen this photo in my dad's wallet before, why do they both have the same picture?" she says.

"I don't know, but I want to find out and I'm asking my mum when she gets home," says Eva.

The girls pack up the photos, head downstairs, put a movie on, and wait in anticipation for Ally to get home.

Ally walked through the front door, her keys making such a noise as she stepped into the lounge room. She could see the gleam of the TV on the wall, she walked over and there where the two girls watching the TV.

"Hey girls, sorry I am late," she said with an apologetic tone to her voice

"That's okay mum. Ah, can I ask you something?" asked Eva looking into her mother's deep brown eyes

Ally looked taken back for a moment, putting all of her books down on the table and rubbing her eyes as she sat down on the couch opposite both of the girls.

"Sure, shoot, you know you can ask me anything," she said, smiling

"It's about you and Mike and," Eva was stopped mid sentence from the look in her mother's eyes from the very mention of his name.

"What about me and Estella's dad?" she said trying to stay calm, but she was fidgeting with her hand and Eva knew that her mother was nervous.

"Were you and Mike together?" she asks looking at her mother's surprised facial expression.

"Ah look, I think it is time you and Estella knew the truth. Let me call Mike," she said getting off the couch and grabbing her phone, wandering into the next room and dialing Mike's number.

"Hello Mike," Ally said with a hint of desperation in her voice.

"Al that you? What's wrong, is everything okay?" asked Mike, sounding a little worried.

"It's the girls, they know. I know they know, Eva just asked me," she said sounding more and more frantic by the second.

"Okay I'll be right there, ah, just hold on," said Mike, hanging up the phone.

Ally walked back in to the lounge room, the girls stopped talking as soon as the saw her walk in. She sat on the couch.

"Mum is it that bad?" asks Eva, but her question isn't answered because there is a knock at the door. But Mike just walks right in anyway, and sits down next to Ally.

"Dad we know what's going on," said Estella.

"Ah look, let us both explain," he said looking up at Ally and then back at his daughter eyes shining in the glow of the TV.
