Something Unpredictable, But In The End Was Right., chapter 12
"So let me get this straight you and mum were together, had a baby but he passed away and now you to want to get back together?" says Eva looking at Mike.
"Yeah Ryan his name was but what happen to your and Estella's brother is another story," says Mike a single tears travels down his chin.
"Look I know it is a bit of a blow to you both and we were going to tell you it was just we wanted the time to good that's all don't be mad," said Ally trying to ease the surprise of what both the girls had heard.
"So are you and my dad together?" asks Estella looking right at Ally
"No were not," she says looking at Mike who has a stunned look on his face like his heart as been ripped from his chest.
"Oh," say both the girls they look disappointed.
"Look maybe you and I should talk," says Mike looking at Ally with his beautiful eyes scanning her face looking form some sign.
"Yeah ah girls how about off to bed now ok it's been a big day," Ally says gesturing her hands for them to move off the couch.
The girls walk up the stairs after kissing both Ally and Mike goodnight,
Ally goes to get off the couch when she feels Mike's hand grab her wrist pauses for a brief moment wanting him to take her now but her brain pulls her from the daydream.
"Al wait," Mike says his eyes glow in the glow of the dark room, Ally turns the TV off and as Mike stands up and takes her in to his arms, Ally looking in to his eyes and for a brief second there is no one else in the world just her and Mike, they kiss and Mike begins to kiss down her jaw line and on to her neck, Ally can feel his breath on her skin and it makes every fiber in her body stand on it's end, Mike stops and looks into her eyes.
"Mike please don't make this hard for me," said Ally turning away from Mike.
"Ally what is the problem I've waited a life time for you and now your back with me this is were you should be Ally with me" said Mike bring her back into his arms and kissing her on the cheek.
"Not now Mike not now I can't do this," said Ally stroking the side of his arm wanting him so bad but knowing that she didn't want to have to leave Mike again.
"I'll wait Al as long as I need to forever if that is what it takes," said Mike letting go of her and grabbing the keys from the coffee table.
Mike walked out the door but not before taking one last look at the love of his life.
The next day at Ally's office.
"Ally there is someone in your office," said Mel.
"Who is it I have no appointments till 3.00?" said Ally with a curious look on her face.
"Adrienne she said you told her to come over," said Mel.
Ally walked up the hall into her office the hall was full of photos of all her gowns that she had designed for the stars over the years there were so many and they all had little notes written on them like "Thanks for the dress" or "Great job" written on them and signed by the particular star who was in the photo.
"Adie hey," said Ally smiling.
"Oh hey I hope I'm not to much of a pain it's just you told me to drop by," said Adrienne.
"Not a problem now let me see, I did some sketches of some dresses I thought you might like," said Ally picking up some pieces of paper and passing them over to Adrienne.
Adrienne flipped through them her eyes widening as she looked at them.
"There all great but I like this one the best," said Adrienne showing Ally a picture of a simple black dress it was about mid length with a bright red sash around the waist the dress looked as if it would just flow over the hips.
"I thought you might like that one it is simple yet the fabric would just flow over you," said Ally.
"It wouldn't be a bother would it?" asked Adie looking up at Ally who seemed like she was in another world.
"Ah no not at all I can fit you in," said Ally taking her eyes from the window.
"What's wrong you seem a thousand miles away?" asked Adie always wanting to help with peoples problems.
"We told the girls last night about everything," said Ally trying to smile but it just came out weak.
"Oh I see how did they take it? I mean were they angry?" asked Adie.
"No well I don't think so we didn't tell them about my dad beating me but just about Ryan and how Mike and I wear together," Ally said sitting down at her desk.
"So now the girls know about you and Mike are you to going to get together?" asked Adie looking at Ally and seeing a look of sadness spread across her face.
"No I don't want to hurt him again Adie I can't" Ally said trying to fix her attention some were other then on Adrienne.
"Hurt him again? I don't get it why would you think that you would hurt him?" asked Adie looking puzzled.
"Well you know how my dad beat me and I had to leave, well Eva's dad was the same after we got married he hit me a few times so I left in the middle of the night with Eva and now I'm here if he finds us I'll have to leave again and I won't hurt Mike like that," said Ally while a tear fell down her cheek and she gently wiped it away.
"But you know Mike would never let anything happen to you he loves you to much," said Adie a smile coming to her face.
"I know it's just so hard I have hurt Mike once before," said Ally rubbing her hand across her neck.
"Well why don't you give him ago? Look why don't you drop Eva off at our place cause Estella is at her mothers place and you and Mike can talk?" asked Adie.
"Okay but I'm not saying that well be together no promises," said Ally getting up out of her chair and walking to the window.
"Do you have a picture of Ryan?" asked Adie wondering if she should have asked Ally that.
"Ah sure in my wallet," said Ally going to her bag and picking up her wallet and placing the photo is Adie's hand.
Adie studied the photo for a while and smiled.
"He is just beautiful," said Adie handing the picture back to Ally.
"He was and Mike used to sit there at night playing his bass right nest to my tummy hoping that Ryan would hear it," said Ally a smile coming to her face from remembering a much happier time with Mike.
"Billie did the same when I was pregnant with the boys," said Adie.
"Mike would have loved Ryan so much I know it," said Ally holding the picture.
"Well is I should go Ally things to do just drop Eva off when you need and maybe bring some cloths for her just incase you stay the night at Mike's place," said Adie a cheeky smile coming to her lips.
"Okay see you then," said Ally giving Adie a quick hug before Adie left.
Ally spent the day fitting dresses and wondering about what she would say to Mike when she at his place the day went so slow and before she knew it she was standing at Mike's door.
