Coming Clean, chapter 2
*The next morning*
Billie Joe was still asleep, but I was awake, I didn't want to move because I liked the fact that his arms were around me. I heard voices in the hallway and figured it was Mike or Tre but I pretended to fall asleep.
"Mike?" Tre said, "Come over here."
I could see Mike staring in the doorway. Then Tre walked in.
"She's still here?" Tre asked.
"Apparently." Mike said.
"I thought she dropped us off and left." Tre answered.
"Billie Joe must have invited her to stay." Mike said.
"Can you guys get out of the fuckin' doorway." Billie Joe said.
Mike and Tre left and closed the door.
"What time is it?" I asked pretending to just wake.
"9:30." He answered.
We just lay there for a minute when Tre opened the door again.
"Billie Joe you almost ready?" He asked.
"Ready for what?" Billie Joe asked.
"To go." Tre said, "We gotta go to the photo shoot thing today remember?"
"Ah dammit I forgot about that." He answered.
Tre left.
"Hey look, I'm real sorry but we have a photo shoot thing we gotta go to today... so... you still have my phone number right?" he asked.
"Yeah I have it, I should go get dressed so you can have your shirt back." I said.
"Oh you can keep it." he said.
He grabbed some new clothes and went and got dressed in the bathroom, and I got all my stuff together. When he came out, Mike and Tre were already in the car and we said good bye and I left.
I was in the car driving back to my house thinking: Oh my god! Billie Joe likes me!
I was so happy but then I remembered my old boyfriend, Ryan. Now I was confused and I didn't know what to do. When I got to the house I cleaned up all the ice cream from the night before and lay down on my bed. I took the piece of paper out of my pocket. I got sad and started crying. One of my ex boyfriends had cheated on me before so I knew how bad it felt. I couldnt believe I was doing it to Ryan... with Billie Joe.
I was checking my messages on the phone. My friend Amy called so I called her back.
"Hello?" she said.
"Hi." I said.
"Hey where were you last night?" she asked.
"I was uhh... I was erm.. you wouldnt believe me." I said.
"Of course I would believe you." She said reassuringly.
"Fine... I was at Billie Joe's house." I said.
"Uhh... okay, and how the hell did YOU end up at Billie Joe's house?" she asked.
I explained what had happened last night.
"Did you guys... you know.... do it?" she asked.
"Oh No! I would never do it with anyone the first time I've ever met them no matter who it is." I said.
"But you said you slept with him." She said.
"Thats right." I said proudly.
"And thats it? All you did was sleep? You didnt do ANYTHING?" she asked.
"No... well he kissed me once, and uhh, he put his arms around me before we fell asleep." I answered.
"After ten years of being your friend and thats it?" she said. "Have I taught you nothing?" She said jokingly.
We both laughed.
"What about Ryan?" She asked.
"I dunno." I said sadly.
Now I felt really guilty.
"Did you break up with Ryan?"
"No."
"Do you still love Ryan?" she asked.
"Well, I think I still love him, but now that hes gone, I really dunno." I answered.
Now I felt more guilty.
"Why dont you call him?" She asked.
"I dont have his new number yet, he said he'd call me and give it to me."
"Hey I gotta go get ready for work but I'll talk to you later." she said.
"Bye."
