Coming Clean, chapter 3
A whole week went by and I still didnt hear from Ryan. I was getting really sad, I was so sad I almost forgot what happend with me and Billie Joe. I wondered if he really loved me or if it was just a one night stand kind of thing that happend. But none the less I took the paper with his number and called him. The machine came on so I gave them my number and told them to call me when they get a chance. I was really depressed about the whole Ryan thing, and confused about the whole Billie Joe thing. I used to cut my wrists when I was younger but I stopped a couple of years ago, but now I was thinking about doing it again. I was walking to the kitchen to get a knife when the phone rang.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey Lisa." He said.
"Oh, hi Billie Joe." I said.
I was kind of hoping it would be Ryan but hey, Billie Joe called my house, Im gonna be happy.
"So, you wanna comeover?" he asked "Me, and Mike and Tre are gonna go swimming later."
"Ok sure." I said.
"Okay well there not home yet, but you can come now anyways." he said.
"Alright Ill be right there." I said.
I put down the knife and ran to my room and got my bikini on, and grabbed a change of clothes, and left.
When I got there Tre and Mike still werent home, and Billie Joe was in the hot tub.
I walked over and got in with him. About ten minutes later Tre came running and cannonballed into the pool. Mike dived in behind him. And behind Mike was some girl I didnt know. When she walked in Billie Joe got out of the hot tub and went over to her. I couldnt hear what they were saying but she left after that.
Billie Joe and I went in the pool.
"Why was she here?" Billie Joe asked Mike and Tre.
"Well, we were at the beach and we saw her there and she was saying how much she missed you and how she never sees you anymore and..." Mike said.
"So you bring her over here?" Billie Joe asked.
I was really confused. Tre got out of the pool and sat on a lounge chair so I got out and sat next to him.
"Do you know whats going on?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" He said.
I looked over and saw that Mike and Billie Joe were still argueing.(sp?)
"Do you know who that girl was?" I asked.
"Oh... that was Adrienne." He said. "Dont worry, Billie Joe isnt cheating on you, there just friends."
"Oh." I answered.
"Well they both like eachother, there actually kind of like unofficial boyfriend and girlfriend." Tre said.
"So are you saying Billie Joe doesnt like me?" I asked.
"Well I think he likes you more, lately it seems like hes been trying to avoid her, I think they got in a fight or something. Im not really friends with her, Mike sort of is, but I try to stay out of Billie Joes business." he said.
"Oh. Okay." I said.
I looked at my watch.
"Hey you guys I gotta go now, I uhh, I gotta go help my friend with something." I lied.
"Bye." said Mike from the pool.
"Bye." said Tre.
I think Tre knew I was lying.
Billie Joe got out and hugged me.
"Bye, call me again sometime." he said.
Then I got in my car and went home.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hey Lisa." He said.
"Oh, hi Billie Joe." I said.
