There's One In Every Family, chapter 3
"Where the hell have you been Madison Jane? I've been worried sick."
Moms false statement made me laugh. "Bullshit you've been worried. You couldn't care less. No-one could, but luckily for you I'm getting some of my stuff and going to a friends' for the night."
I started heading towards the stairs when I felt a blow across my face. I was knocked to the ground.
"You fucking bitch," I spat at her. I pulled myself up and charged at her, pinning her against the wall. Her eyes became wide with fear as she realized that she wouldn't be able to get away from me.
"Never try to contact me once I leave today or you will regret it okay?" she nodded at me. I backed off and went upstairs.
I closed the door behind me and grabbed a bag out of my cupboard. I ripped the drawers out of my dresser and started compacting clothes into the bag. I started having flashbacks of good times I had had in this house and tears started rolling down my cheeks.
**Flashback**
"Madison! There's someone here to see you!" Mom called up the stairs. I ran down to see my grandparents sitting in the lounge with bags full of presents around there feet.
"This is to make up for all of the Christmas's and birthdays we have missed. I hope you understand"
My eyes widened as I ripped open the presents. Packs of cards, toy cars, Barbie dolls and every other sort of imaginable gift fell at my feet.
"Thanks grandma, thanks grandpa."
**End flashback**
After I had finished collecting all the important things that I would need I turned to leave and then turned back remembering one more thing. I walked over to my head board and felt for the lump of blu-tack holding my razorblade in place.
"Just incase," I said to myself.
When I got to the bottom of the stairs I looked over to where mom was, still curled up in a ball against the wall. "You're pathetic," I said. I walked out the front door hoping to never come back.
