I Think The Rain Is Calling Murder (Sequel of We Will Run Away), chapter 11

Billie Joe looked around the room hoping to see an image of his wife but finding none he sighed. Confined to a rubber room and a straightjacket Billie could well have his imagination running wild. Sitting up with his thin legs as an aid Billie looked around the room once again with his green eyes. Finishing looking around Billie Joe cocked his head and bit his lip in a state of confusion.

Did the voice of his beloved just come out of his head, or was she real once more? Billie's eyes stung as they filled with saltwater tears. Feeling like an abandoned child he found no way to let out his emotions. Being unguided all the way through the time in prison he was never told how to feel or what to expect in solitary confinement. He was restrained by the canvas material with leather belts. At least he still had his navy blue trousers on, that he hadn't been stripped of his dignity.

"Billie Joe," came the woman's soft voice once again, "I don't know if you can hear me but...just say something if you can." she pleaded gently.

Once again the Californian male scanned his new surroundings for a glimpse of the New York female. Then literally out of nowhere, the East American woman, coincidently named Rebel Ann Armstrong materialised in front of Billie Joe's very eyes.

"Rebel?" Billie Joe asked, "Is that really you?" he questioned again.

The slender framed, black haired woman smiled and knelt down in front of Billie. She lay her hand upon her husband's cheek and softly caressed it with her thumb. Billie Joe closed his eyes with the warmth of his wife's sweet tender touch. When his eyes opened he was greeted by the most gorgeous pair of dark emerald green eyes. Once again he saw the warmth, happiness and love that this East American possessed. He looked upon the beautiful woman and a smile turned to a grin.

"Baby please tell me that this is real," Billie pleaded, his eyes never leaving hers, "Please."

"This is as real as you want it to be... my sweet Billie," the woman replied with a heart warming smile but her smile faded when she noticed the bruise around Billie's eye, "What happened to your eye?" she asked her partner concernedly, "Baby who hit you?" she asked gently touching the purple mark.

"It was Matt. This guy I shared a cell with... I thought you were watching over me." Billie assumed.

"I was, then I got called to do something. You know how Jimmy's inside of you?" Rebel asked, Billie nodded in response, "Well I have to be inside someone else but right now he doesn't need me as much as you do," Billie looked at his wife in confusion, Rebel drew close to Billie's ear, "How else do you think Tré became more feminine all of a sudden?" she asked then whispered a small laugh.

Goosebumps plagued Billie's skin as Rebel's breath brushed against his neck. Billie laughed to himself as Rebel wrapped her arms around his body. How he longed to hold her in his arms once more, to hold her close to his chest, close to his heart. To feel loved again without any words of affection being spoken. Minutes later Billie's arms fell by his sides, he looked at his wife as she pulled away from him.

Rebel grinned and told him that she released him from the straitjacket. Billie slid the straightjacket off of his slim build and rose to his feet pulling Rebel up with him. For a moment they both looked into each other's eyes and Billie reached his hand up to Rebel's cheek, as his palm was laid upon his wife's skin to Billie's surprise Rebel was still standing before him. Just then Billie's hand went around to the back of Rebel's neck as he leant into Rebel for a kiss. Rebel put her lips onto Billie Joe's and the feeling they shared was purely electrifying, much like the first kiss they shared.

Every last bit of air escaped Billie's lungs, causing him to fall into Rebel's arms. The moment Rebel pulled away from the intense kiss with her husband, she knelt upon the floor holding him in her arms. Adjusting Billie in her arms she placed her backside on the floor before holding her husband's head close to her left breast, almost like a mother would hold her new born child. Through Rebel's clothes Billie Joe could hear the soft thud of her heartbeat. He'd never been held in such a way by a woman before so he felt vulnerable but then again the love they shared was reassured. Rebel gently rocked her partner back and forth as she noticed tears coming to his pale green eyes.

"Don't cry Billie," the woman said, "Everything will be better now, baby. I promise you... I'll get you out of here and out in to the world. Where so many people need you, where I need you."
