From My Broken Home to the Gilman, chapter 4
*The next day... Mark's P.O.V.*
We finally made it into Oakland. I was kind of pissed off because Maria and Ringo had no clue what house we were going to. We stopped in at a restaurant to watch the TV for a few minutes. We weren't hungry, so we didn't need anything to eat. Instead we just ordered some soda. Maria was sitting by Ringo and they were randomly talking.
*Maria's P.O.V.*
I got up to call Billy and let him know that we were in Oakland. I wasn't really worried about my dad finding us anymore because even if he did care, he was too lazy to actually do anything about it.
Amy answered the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey! We're in Oakland. We just need some assistance finding your house... " I said.
"Ok, where are you? I'll come get you." She answered.
"Well, we're at this restaurant... Rod's Hickory Pit... " I told her.
"Psshh! That's just down the street from our house! I'll be there in a couple minutes!" she said and hung up.
I hung up the phone and went back over to sit by Ringo and Mark. They both asked "what's up?" so I told them.
"We're right down the street from their house... my aunt should be here any minute to help us get there!"
About two minutes later, a tall, dark haired woman walked into the restaurant and ran over to us. It was my aunt.
"Hey Maria! Hi Ringo! So, who's your new friend?" she seemed really excited to see us. Ringo answered "he's Mark... he's kind of shy... " Mark looked over and said "I'm not shy Ringo, I'm just fine!" we got up and left the restaurant.
***Billy's house*
I knocked on Billy's bedroom door and walked in with Ringo and Mark right behind me. "Hi Billy!" I said giving him a hug. He was a lot taller than me.
"Ok, these are my friends; they're weird, but likeable. You'll get used to them..." he said pointing to four people sitting on the couch. Ringo had already introduced herself and was talking to one of the dudes.
I went over and sat by Billy on his bed. First, a girl came up to me and introduced herself. "hi, my name's Zoie... but I'll only respond to Zo, so yeah... A bit of advice, don't mess with Mike... he's my boyfriend... so don't get any Ideas and we can be really good friends!"
Then a guy came up and began talking. "Hey, my name's Mike. Don't worry too much about Zo, we've been going out for a couple of weeks and she seems to think every girl in the world is after me. So, you're Billy's cousin, huh? You guys don't really seem alike..."
I sat there for a couple of minutes. Then the guy that Ringo was talking to walked over to me and introduced himself. "Hello, I'm Tre Cool... that's my stage name. I usually go by it though because I don't like my real name."
"What's your real name?" I asked curiously.
"Do you really wanna know?" he asked. I nodded. "ok, but you gotta promise not to laugh, and you can't call me that... I'm Tre, got it?" I nodded my head again. He looked at the floor then whispered in my ear. "Frank Edwin Wright III"
"Don't worry, I won't remember that!" I said. He smiled at me then went back over and sat by Ringo.
I looked over to where everyone was sitting. I saw a boy there with his legs up on the couch, arms crossed, and he had his face in his arms. He seemed upset about something. I would go and talk to him, but I didn't really want to bother him. So I began talking to Billy. As soon as we were caught up on everything, I looked back over at the boy. He still had his arms crossed and face hidden.
