London Blast, chapter 3

"Oh my God, this was so fun Dan." Meagan laughed as they walked to the front of the Hilton where she was staying at. The sun had all ready set and the stars were beginning to bud.

"I know. I haven't done anything like this in years and I don't think I ever did it without anyone standing over me and watching out for me." Daniel was grinning widely and it matched Meagan's.

Meagan looked down at her shoes and looked up while tucking her hair behind her ear. "I better get in before I get in more trouble. I was only supposed to be gone for a little bit, not the whole day."

"I'm sorry." Daniel began to escort her into the hotel.

"Don't be, BJ can get over it. He always does. This is good." Meagan stopped them right in front of the doors. "I wouldn't want to test his good nature just yet." She bit her lip as she watched Daniel do the same.

"All right. Can I call you later?" Daniel had his hand on the door handle to open it for her.

Meagan nodded. "Yeah. I'll talk to you later." She stepped inside the glass doorway before Daniel caught her arm.

"How about brunch tomorrow?"

Meagan looked at his hopeful eyes and knew she would be pushing it if she agreed. "Um, we'll see. Bye."

"Bye." Daniel watched her walk away through the glass before turning and walking the opposite way.

Meagan practically ran to her room, grinning like a fool with excitement. She didn't even reach her door before the door next to it opened and Adrienne came out.

"Meagan, I have been trying to call you all day." She hissed as she pointed inside her room for Meagan to follow. "I've been covering for you so Billie wouldn't freak out. You were taking a nap, by the way."

Meagan fell onto the large bed. "Thanks Aunt Adie." She sighed and looked at the ceiling.

"So," Adrienne sat next to her, looking anxious. "How was it? Was he nice? He looked pretty cute, a little snotty, but good looking."

Meagan waved her words off. "Oh, please. I ditched him fifteen minutes in."

"Then what have you been doing?" Adrienne's voice had a warning tone in it.

Meagan rolled over and propped her face in her hands. "You will not believe who I met."

"Who?"

"Daniel Radcliffe."

"Harry Potter?" Adrienne looked at her niece as if she had lost her mind.

Meagan simply squealed and grinned wider. "Uh huh. We saw the sights, rode the double-decker, saw a foreign flick that neither one of us could understand. Oh, and he wants to have brunch with me tomorrow."

Adrienne's eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "Are you serious?" Her voice was high pitched and excited just like Meagan's.

Meagan simply nodded. "Uh huh, but I have no idea what I'm going to wear. Do I look super cute or casual or dressed up or what? What do I do?" Meagan dropped her head onto the thick comforter of the bed.

Adrienne thought for a minute. "Jeans, a cute top, a jacket if it's cool, and cute shoes."

"You think so?" Meagan's voice was muffled from the comforter.

"Yeah. It's cute and you can play it up or down. I just got some new Adeline shirts in that would go great." Adrienne got up to go look for the shirt in her suitcase. Adeline Street was her and Billie Joe's clothing line.

"Okay." Meagan rolled onto her back and watched her aunt as her phone played a cheery tune. "It's him!" Meagan quickly opened the text message he had sent her. "Are we on tomorrow or not?" She read out loud. "Oh crap, what are we gonna tell BJ?"

"We're going shopping." Adrienne replied without looking up from her shirt search. "I'll really go shopping and I'll pick you up a few pieces and we'll meet up after your date and come back together. Nobody's any the wiser."

Meagan thought about it and nodded. "Yeah, yeah. That'll work." Meagan quickly texted her reply to Daniel just as Billie Joe came into the room.

"Hey sexes." He greeted as he popped Adrienne on the behind playfully. "Have a good nap?" He asked Meagan as he picked up a shirt and a pair of pants to change into.

"Yep. I'm full of energy." Meagan replied cheekily.

Billie Joe nodded. "Good. We're gonna need your help tomorrow morning so don't oversleep."

"Uh, babe, we had planned on doing some shopping tomorrow morning." Adrienne said as she pulled two shirts out and folded them nonchalantly and slid a discreet look to Meagan.

"Yeah, none of my jeans fit. I think I'm getting fat." Meagan tapped her slim stomach.

Billie Joe rolled his eyes at her. "Whatever. Can you be there by, like, one?" After getting a nod from Meagan, Billie Joe ducked into the bathroom to change.

"I feel bad for lying to him." Meagan mouthed to Adrienne once the door was closed.

Adrienne waved her words away this time and threw the shirts to her. "Don't be. You and I both know he would flip if he knew what you were really doing and you deserve a little flirt and adventure, you're a young girl. Have fun and let me know what's going on."
