Alone, chapter 2

I walked into this little gutter and it had an old blanket there. So I decided this was better than at home, so I sat down and crawled into the blanket and slowly dozed off.
"Excuse me, are you alright?"
"Ah ah ah ah ah..."
"It's alright, it's alright."
"Who are you?"
"I'm Lilly."
"What are you doing sleeping in the gutters?" she asked.
"Well it's better than at my old place."
"Oh. so I gather your mother and father are not all that caring?"
"CARING? CARING?...My mother and father don't know the meaning of the word, the only two words my mum knows are drugs and alcohol and my dad...well...no on knows."
"Do you want to come and stay with me?" asked Lilly with that nice voice of hers.
"Are you sure that's alright?" asked Ted.
"Well I live by myself so I would love a bit of company."
"You live by yourself?" asked Ted.
"Yes, I left my family last month. They said when I was 18 I could leave and so I did."
"Cool," said Ted.
"Come on then," said Lilly. "I live just around the corner."

They walked to Lilly's place and into the living room. The house was beautiful. Sparkling pink lights hanging around the roof in a circle and beautiful flowers on every bench and table. They sat down on the lounge and started to talk. They got along really well and the one thing they had most in common was that they loved Green Day! Even though Lilly was a girly girl she still loved to rock out and party with Green Day on full blast!
"Thank you for letting me stay," said Ted.
"No problem," said Lilly. "I'm glad I invited you. I"m having a lot more fun with you here than I ever have with myself or my other friends."
"Really?" asked Ted.
"Yes," said Lilly.
"Well I don't know about you but I'm starving."
"Want to go out for lunch?"
"Sure, but I'm paying."
"NO, I am and there's no arguing okay?"
"You ARE a tough one"
"And proud of it boy"

Lilly got her purse and handbag and walked to a nice cafe in Porter Avenue. They walked in and found a nice table for two. They sat down and looked at the menus.
"I think I'll have the curried prawns," said Ted.
"That's exactly what I was going to have," said Lilly.
"I guess we have more in common than I thought."
"Yes."
They walked back to Lilly's apartment and went into the kitchen.
"Thanks for lunch," said Ted.
"Like I said before, I'm very happy to have you here."
"Well I'm a little tired," said Ted
"The gutter isn't exactly the most comfortable place to sleep."
"Yes."

Ted slowly lent over the bench and gave Lilly a kiss on the lips. Without any hesitation Lilly kissed him back and put her hands around his neck and brought him around the edge of the bench and put her hands around his waist.
"We should stop," said Lilly. "We only just met, we need time."
"I suppose you're right," said Ted. "I'm going to go lie down."
He kissed Lilly one more time on the lips and walked into the bedroom.

Lilly went and sat on the couch for a while and than got a magazine and started to read. There was an article about finding true love in just a matter of minutes.
"Wow maybe this is true love," thought Lilly.
"You think," said Ted as he appeared in front of her.
She stared at him with her glowing blue eyes. Then she put her hands on his shoulders, pulled herself up and kissed him on the lips.
"What does that tell you?" said Lilly.
"All I need to know," said Ted.
He kissed her again and sat down on the couch while pulling her with him.
