Black Hearts and Renegades, chapter 10
"Hey Zacky, will you go-" Lilly stopped when she saw what I was doing. She stepped inside my room and closed the door behind her. "What the HELL are you doing?!" She asked as I washed away some of the red muck on my head. "Lilly! Since when do you cuss?" I asked glancing up at her. She shrugged, "Since now, and I will ask you once again, what are you doing?"
I smirked and dried my damp hair with a towel. "I dyed it, does it look alright?" I asked glancing up at my streaked red bangs. "Um yeah, it looks awesome." She mumbled. I glared at her and said, "Don't lie. If it looks bad just tell me, I don't wanna look like a retard." She shrugged, "I'm just not used to it, I'll get over it. It really does look good though."
"Thanks."
"Why are you doing this anyway?" She asked perching on the end of my bed. "I found friends." She grinned, "Finally, I have more friends then you." I rolled my eyes, "Shut up." She laughed.
"KIDS DINNER!" Mom hollered. "C'mon," She said standing up. "One sec, I need your help." I reached into my pocket and pulled out a nose ring I found in Brad's drawer. "Whats that?" She asked examing it. "Here," I handed her some ice, "I'm gonna hold the ice against my nose and numb it and then your gonna shove the ring threw it."
"Ew! No way!"
"Please Lilly?" She huffed, "Is it really necessery?" She asked. I nodded and she caved. We numbed my nose until it turned blue and I couldn't feel shit. "Okay, do it."
"Do I have to?" She asked again. I nodded. She sighed, closed her eyes and shoved it in. "Ow! Fuck!" I moaned. She opened her eyes quickly and looked at it. My nose was a beating red and little trickles of blood was running down it. I grabbed a washcloth of the sink and wiped it away.
"Wow," she gasped, "its looks really cool." I looked at her. "Are you sure?" She nodded, "Its awesome, I want one now." I laughed, "Not right now. Mom'll kill me." I rinsed off my nose a little more until the redness went down and then we walked down stairs.
"What took you-" Mom stopped as soon as she saw my face. "What the hell did you two do?!" She asked loudly. Brad, Jace and Matt all looked over at us. "Is it fake?!"
"No, its real," I tried to smile but Mom looked really pissed.
