Black Hearts and Renegades, chapter 11

"Hey! WAKE UP!"
I groaned into my lumpy matress. "Whoever you are get off!" I shouted.

Whoever it was gasped, "You don't know who your own dad is? I'm offended!" I smirked.

"Get outta here Tre'," I grumbled. "No way pal, your mom says you need a talkin' to," My smile faded. It'd been weeks since I pierced my nose and dyed my hair. Mom didn't like that very much. She also didn't like it when I started painting my nails, letting my grades slip and cussing alot more.

"Whatever, meet me in the basement, is Mom and Brad here?" I asked.

"Nope, all the monkeys went to school too," he replied. I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

"Okay, I'll be down ina few." He nodded and left. I got out of bed and walked to my bathroom. My reflection caught myself in the mirror. My hair was much longer.

I also had a small bruise on my cheek from Fridays fight with Tyler Pistol. By the way, Tyler Pistol is the toughest kid in 9th grade. He's big, tall and ugly.

I shook my head and walked out. I pulled on my jeans, a black Iron Maiden shirt, and my new black lace up boots. I grabbed my chain from my desk and hooked it on.

I pulled open my door and walked down the stairs. I walked through the living room and down a couple stairs and was in the basement.

I haven't told you about the basement, have I? Well, its painted white with splatters of black paint all over the place. Its got hard wood floors instead of carpet. It basically has the computers, stereos and a place where Brad can record the bands that come over. It also has a couple camcorders because Mom is constantly filming everything.

Tre' was sitting on the cocuh listening to an old Green Day CD. "Aww the good ol' days," He sighed when he saw me coming down the stairs.

"Yeah whatever, what do you wanna talk about?" I asked rather rudely. Tre' glared at me a little but he knew better then to touch me. And I knew he wouldn't anyway.

As you can see, me and him were cool now. I went over to his house and chilled with my other siblings all the time. I even met Claudia. I expected her to be some rocker slut but she was pretty nice.

"Your mom says you've changed alot over the past week," He said standing up.

I scoffed, "I have not, she's going crazy, I swear." Tre' arched an eyebrow.

"I'm not trying to pick sides but, by the way you look, you kind of have changed,"
I glared at him, I figured he would stcik up for me more than anyone.

I sighed. "Whats the big change?" He asked.

"I don't know what any of you guys are talking about. Just because I do different stuff and have more friends doesn't make me any different then I was last week."

"So thats what it is..." He mumbled.
"What?" I asked.
"You made new friends, huh?" He guessed. I crossed my arms, "Yeah, so?"
He shrugged, "What're they like?"
"They're cool," I replied, "unlike Adrian."

"Wait, wasn't Adrian like your best friend for life?" He asked. I sighed and looked away.
"Yeah," I mumbled. "What happened?"
"He just went around telling everyone that me and you were related just so he could become popular."
"Thats not cool we should kick his ass!" Tre' yelled.
"Totally!" He smirked and said, "I was just kidding."

My face dropped, "Oh."
