Black Hearts and Renegades, chapter 9
"Hey freak!"
I stopped in the middle of the busy hall as I was walking to lunch. I turned around and saw a couple of goth kids running towards me with Adrian tagging behind. "Is it true?" A girl with dark blonde hair asked. "What is?" I asked.
A tall boy with dark purple hair smiled back at Adrian and replied, "Lil' Aide said that you were related to Tre' Cool." I shot a glare at Adrian who hid behind the group.
"So is it true?" The girl asked again. I shrugged, "No." They all started laughing. "Told ya he was lyin'!" A boy laughed. They all turned on Adrian and started teasing him. I smirked happily and walked away. I walked into the lunch room and got in line behind a bunch of kids dressed in Abercombi.
"Hey look, its Tre' Cools kid!" A girl gasped as she pointed at me.
Great, thanks alot Adrian. "Hey kid," The goth kids that were talking to me a couple minutes ago walked up to me. "Yeah?"
"You wanna eat lunch with us?" The purple haired boy asked. I shrugged, "Sure."
"Cool, my name is Jacob," The boy said, "Thats Jimmy, Tunny, Adeline, and Whatsername." He pointed each one out.
My eyes stopped at Whatsername. She was beautiful. She had dark blonde hair which was knotted. Her green eyes were smudged with thick eyeliner and she was dressed in a black Rancid tube top, black cargo pants with chains on them and black and purple lace up boots.
"Whatsername?" I questioned. Jacob smirked, "She won't tell anyone her real name."
"Why should I?" She asked arching an eyebrow.
"Yeah why should she?" Adeline asked with a small laugh. "Oh shut up Ad and quit defending her." Tunny mumbled as he pulled out a cigarette and lit it up.
We all bought lunch and went outside to eat. "Look its the little liar!" Tunny teased pointing towards the stairs where Adrian was eating alone. I realized then that I was the shortest one and probably the youngest.
"Stupid punk, thinks he can trick us," Whatsername snarled.
I looked around and took in all the weird clothes these kids were wearing compared to me and Adrian.
Jacob had on black jeans, a black short sleeved button up shirt and scuffed converse.
Tunny was wearing baggy camo shorts, a sleeveless Operation Ivy shirt and black ankle high boots.
And finally Adeline was wearing tight black jeans, a black Green Day tank top and audios. All of them had multi-colored hair and really didn't seem to mind.
Adrian was wearing nothing but a black polo shirt and dark blue jeans with red converse, why would they even think of hanging out with him? Or me for that matter?
Adrian simply turned away in pain and continued to do whatever he had been doing.
Tunny and Jacob led us all over to a huge oak tree which had tons of different carvings all over it. We sat down under it and listened to Tunny's new CD that he stole from the music store down the street.
