What a Loser I am for Doing This, But I Don't Regret It, chapter 3
So far, Joey has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me, except for the fact that I have an amazing band, and I'm sharing it with my two soul brothers, but anyways, he's the world to me. He makes me feel like a true person, and that would be there for me no matter what, and I've been longing to feel this way for a long time, and now, it finally came true. Although, it would be a huge problem telling Mike and Tre, because I've been going to the band practices an hour late, according to spending cuality time with Joey, and the furry is going to take place in a matter of minutes.
"Hey guys."
"Finally! Where have you been?!" Shouted a frustrated Tre, fiddling his drumstick for the past hour, sitting unpatiently behind his drum kit.
Mike was playing a bass line, not even bothering to look up. I stared at Mike, waiting for him to say something, but nothing. He just rolled his bright blue eyes at me, and shook his head in disappointment. He started the bass line to "Longview," and I began to sing my lines, shakingly, knowing that they were infurriated with me, and that I would have to tell them my secret sooner, or later.
Once we finished the song, we took a water break, and Mike approached me. He sat by me on the small couch we had in the basement, with me looking down, with doubt. He said,"What's been up with you man? I thought this band was the world to you, and you dare show up late? I, mean, it looks like me and Tre are the only dedicated ones over here." I looked up, with tear stained eyes, and said,"I'm sorry, it won't happen again." He sighed deeply and said,"Sorry isn't gonna cut it, man. It's either if you're in the band or not, that's what you always told us if we messed up, or even got there just a minute late."
I looked up once again, even feeling more pain and guilt to hear something like that, how could I be so harsh? I replied,"Just don't listen to me, if I tell you and Tre something like that again, just smack me, and tell me to quit being such a drama king."
Mike chuckled a little bit and said, just getting straight to the point,"So why you been so distracted lately? What is meaning so much to you that it makes you get here late?"
I look down and say,"You really want to know?"
He replied concerned,"Of course man, that's why I asked."
I chuckled a little bit and said,"It's a he, actually, and we're going out." His jaw dropped to the ground, this wasn't a pretty sight.
