A Night You Won't Forget, chapter 11

"Is she okay?" Andrew asked. He glanced over the wounds on her neck.

"I don't think so." Kelley wept. She backed herself up a bit for Andrew to take over. Andrew lifted Megan's head in his hands and held her in his arms.

"Megan please." He cried softly. "Please don't go."

Megan's eyes slowly opened. She stared into Andrew's eyes. Her breathing was shallow and she knew she didn't have much time left.

"Andrew." She muttered. Andrew's eyes lit up at the sound of her voice. He still had a chance.

"Megan please, please don't leave me." Andrew cried. Tears fell down his cheek.

He didn't have much time left to tell her how he felt. "I already went through believing you were dead once. Please don't make me go through that again. If you hadn't called out to me I never would have found you."

"Call out to you?" Megan asked. Mixed in the look of pain on her face was a look of confusion. "Andrew I never called out to you."

"Then who... " Andrew whispered out.

"Do you believe in guardian angles?" Megan smiled out. Andrew sobbed even louder at the though.

"Maybe this house isn't all bad." Andrew smiled down at her.

"It's over Andrew. I'm dying." Megan whispered to him softly. Behind them
Kelley let out a whimper. Andrew sat there in denial.

"We're gonna get you better. As soon as we get out of here we're gonna get you better." Andrew hastily said.

"No Andrew. I have to tell you something." Megan muttered. Her breath grew slower and slower. Her voice was disappearing.

"Megan, I have to say this first. I have to tell you how I feel." Andrew started. "I... "

A moan came out of Megan who was losing her strength. A look of pain onto her face. Andrew knew she was dying.

"Andrew please let me say this." Megan muttered out. That's when her voice completely caved. She tried to say what she wanted to say but she was unable to. The chains had killed her voice.

"Megan!" Andrew shouted. He gained up the courage to say what he wanted to
say.

"Megan. I have to say this." He stared again. "I've wanted to tell you this ever since we left on this trip."

Megan's eyes started to fade.

"I love you!" Andrew spat out. Megan looked him in the eyes and smiled. He held her hand to his face and kissed it. Megan mouthed the words I love you too. The light in her eyes slowly went out. Her body became heavy as she died in Andrew's arms.

Tears started pouring down Andrew's cheeks. He could hear Kelley crying behind him, feeling the pain he was. Andrew placed Megan's body on the ground, laying her head softly down on the floor. He let her hair fall from out of her lifeless face.

Andrew then slowly stood up from his spot beside Megan. A tear fell from his face and onto Megan's body.

"I don't want to leave her." He sobbed out. Kelley made her way over to Andrew. She placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I don't either. I don't want to leave any of them behind. But we have to. We have to get out of this house." She comforted him. "If we don't leave now we never will."

Kelley turned towards the door that was still partly locked up. Andrew kept his eyes on Megan. Her body lay on the floor silently; she seemed to be merely sleeping. Andrew only wished this were true.

Andrew was to busy mourning over Megan to knock the chains completely off the door so Kelley did it. She laid down the axe after the door was opened. Andrew just stared down at Megan's body one last time before exiting the house with Kelley by his side. The two walked out of the yard and towards the gate. Once out of it Andrew and Kelley turned and faced the house one last time.

The words of his friends entered Andrew's head once more. He remembered everything that had happened that night. The scenes replayed in his head.

"Are we going in?"

"We're staying here? In this house?"

"I can't shake the feeling that we're all in danger."

"Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you."

"Mike's missing."

"I'm sure he's just kidding around."

"Adam, here's another door."

"Holly we have to get out of here!"

"ADAM!"

"Holly, run, get out of here! Just go!"

"He's dead! Adam's dead!"

"Where's Mike?"

"He's in the basement! He's hanging in the basement!"

"Holly calm down."

"There's something in this house, it's killing them!"

"There's something wrong here."

"Andrew open the door!"

"It's locked I can't!"

"Where is she?"

"She's down there! He's hurting her!"

"Where's Tre?"

"He's dead. The guy is in this room!"

"Run get out of here!"

"Go! Get them out of here!"

"Hurry into this room!"

"What are we gonna do now?"

"BILLIE!"

"Get out....of...here..."

"Kelley behind you!"

"HOLLY NO!"

"Where's Billie and Holly?"

"They didn't make it."

"He won't let us go!"

"Like hell he won't!"

"ANDREW!"

"Megan please don't go."

"It's over Andrew, I'm dying."

"I love you."

The last of the thoughts ran through Andrew's mind before turning away from the mansion. He couldn't bare to see anymore. He put an arm around Kelley and the two walked down the road away from the hell house.

"I wonder if we'll ever forget what's happened." Kelley wondered.

"It's not possible." Andrew said quietly. "This is a night you won't forget."
