A Night You Won't Forget, chapter 6
Andrew's eyes shot open. He could have sworn he heard noise down below him. Something was wrong, he could feel it. But what? Andrew thought to himself. It's nothing. It's probably nothing at least. He'll just check on the others and everything will be fine. Maybe he should check on Megan first. At least it was an excuse to see her.
Andrew got up from his bed. He stretched out for a moment before walking out of his room. His door was right across the hall from Megan and Kelley's door. All he had to do was walk a few feet, open the door and talk to her. That's it.
That's when the door opened itself. It was Kelley who walked out of the door. Andrew was some what disappointed.
"Did you hear that noise?" Kelley asked. She closed the door behind her quietly as to not wake Megan.
"Yeah I did. It woke me up," Andrew answered. "Do you know where it's coming from?"
"No I don't. Holly never came in, is she in your room?" Kelley asked, stepping out of the door way.
"No I thought she was with you. Adam never came back either," Andrew stated.
"Where did they go?"
"I guess they went looking for Mike. Billie and I went looking earlier but we didn't find him. So we gave up. I'm guessing he came back to their room."
"We should check in just in case," Kelley offered.
"Are you sure you don't just want to see the famous band?" Andrew asked with a laugh.
"Are you sure you don't just want to check out Megan?" Kelley struck back. The red came back to Andrew's face.
"Whatever let's just go ask them," Andrew said.
The two of them walked down the hallway together. Once they reached Billie, Tre, and Mike's room they knocked on the door. Billie was the one who answered it.
"Hey guys, did you find Mike?" Billie asked.
"What? I thought he was here with you," Kelley said. A worried expression came across Billie's face.
"No. He never came back," Billie responded. Andrew raised a hand and placed it on top his forehead.
"Now what? Three people are missing now," he said.
"Three?" Billie asked.
"Yeah, both Holly and Adam went looking for Mike I guess and haven't returned," Andrew explained.
"Something has got to be wrong," Kelley added.
A noise came from down the hallway and down the stairs. The sound of screams filled the air. Andrew and Kelley both turned to face the end of the hall leading to the staircase.
Holly came screaming up the stairs and running down the hall towards the others. What she was screaming about was not clear, but as soon as she reached Andrew and Kelley she fell into Andrew's arms.
"He's dead!" she screamed. They all stared blankly at her.
"Holly what happened?" Kelley asked.
"They're both dead!" Holly screamed. She was hysterical. "He killed them!"
"Who...he killed who?" Andrew asked Holly, holding her by the shoulders trying to get any information out of her.
"Adam!" Holly cried out. Tears continued to fall down her reddened face. She repeated Adam's name over and over muttering his death.
"What happened?" Kelley asked.
"He's dead! Adam's dead!" Holly screamed. "Don't you understand? They're both dead!"
Tre walked out from the room and stood by Billie's side. All the noise and screams from Holly grabbed his attention.
"Where's Mike?" Tre asked.
"He's in the basement! He's hanging in the basement!" Holly cried. She hid her face in her hands. Andrew embraced her, wrapping his arms around her body.
"It's okay Holly, its okay." He comforted her.
"No it's not okay! He's dead! Adam's dead, Mike's dead, they're both dead! He's gonna kill us all!" Holly shouted.
"He who?" Tre asked.
"All I saw was the body. All I saw was a body!" Holly cried out. Tears fell from her face to the floor. Andrew shushed her and held her tighter.
"What are we gonna do?" Billie asked.
"We have to go to the basement." Tre cried out. "We have to see what's down there."
"NO!" Holly screamed at the top of her lungs. "No! You can't go down there! If you go down there he'll kill you!"
"Okay, Holly you have to calm down." Andrew said.
"No! I won't calm down! I just saw Adam killed! He's probably down there hanging next to Mike!"
"Stop saying that!" Tre shouted at her. "Mike's not dead!"
"Tre stop! That's not gonna help any!" Billie took hold of Tre, calming him down. "We'll go down stairs and check things out."
Billie and Tre walked past Kelley, Andrew and Holly. As they passed Holly attempted to stop them.
"No please don't go down there!" Holly begged.
"Could you please take her to another room or something, calm her down." Billie asked Andrew. Tre and Billie continued down the hallway against Holly's will. Andrew and Kelley helped Holly into Andrew's room. They helped her sit down on the bed while trying to stop her from crying hysterically.
"You don't understand! There's something in this house. It's killing them!" Holly screamed.
"Holly please calm down. We can't help you until you calm down." Kelley explained to her.
"Just tell us everything that happened down there," Andrew said.
It took a few moments for Holly to calm down enough to explain to Kelley and Andrew what happened down in the basement. She told them every detail from her perspective. She even told them how Adam saved her by letting her go. Both Andrew and Kelley took in everything Holly was saying. They both found it hard to believe.
"I've been trying to tell you guys this place isn't safe we have to get out of here!" Holly cried out at last. She had no more strength to say any more. The moments of what happened to her earlier replayed in her mind over and over. She couldn't take it anymore.
"I think we should get everyone together and get out of this house," Andrew said. He picked up Holly's hand. "Everything is going to be okay. We're gonna leave now."
A knock came at the door. Kelley opened up the door to reveal Billie and Tre standing before her.
"Did you find anything?" Kelley asked.
"No, there was no one there. No one," Tre answered. A look of horror came across Holly's face.
"Did you go down to the basement?" Holly asked.
"There is no one in the basement Holly. We went down there and searched but there is no one down there," Billie explained.
"No! No there is! He's down there! Mike and Adam are down there!" Holly screamed.
"Something is wrong here. I'm starting to get the same feeling Holly has. We have to get out of this house," Andrew said.
"He's not down there?" Holly asked.
"We looked around. Neither Mike nor Adam are down there," Billie answered.
"No not them. The figure, he's not down there?" Holly asked. She stared into Billie's eyes. A look of confusion came onto Billie's face.
"What dark figure?" He asked.
"If he's not down there...he must be looking for us!" Holly cried out. "He's gonna try to kill us all!"
A silence fell amongst them.
"We're all here. He can't get any of us without the others knowing," Kelley said. Andrew then lifted his head up with a thought. His heart sank, his head spun. There was something wrong.
"Megan!"
