Never Leave Me (For Jess), chapter 1

Jess P.O.V

'Stupid job' I thought as I balanced a tray of café latte and cappuccino. I set it down to table twelve.

Where is my brain gone? I write a story about me and I don't tell you anything about me. My name is Jessica Mowatt. I'm originally from Wales but some of my friends and I moved to America to Manhattan to be exact. We moved about two years ago. I live in a third floor apartment with two of them, Jo and Olivia. Add me with them and we make Ultra Red, our band.

I'm five foot eight with longish, wavy, auburn hair. I've got green eyes which are always underlined with heavy black kohl. I'm a chocolate addict, caffeine addict and a Green Day addict. I have three tattoos, a barbed wire around the top of my right arm, a tribal tattoo on my lower back and a grenade on my hip. I worked in Starbucks by day, drummer in Ultra Red by night.

"Can I take your order?" I was looking at my notepad, pen ready to write.

"Yeah, can I have a cappichino?" I knew that voice.

"With an espresso-" I looked up. 'Oh my God its Tre Cool' I thought as I recognised the blue blue eyes and Tre- like grin. 'Stay calm, don't want to cause a scene' I thought. The truth is I was too nervous. "-shot?" I swallowed.

"Sure," He winked at me.

Tre's P.O.V

"Can I take your order?" a very hot waitress asked me.

When I ordered, she walked away. I caught myself staring at her ass, noticing her hips swinging in a seductive way. I could see the top of a tattoo peeping up from the top of her combats. I wanted to see what it was.

She came back, balancing my tray in her hand. "Your order," she said, quickly turning away.

"Wait." I said softly. "Whats your name?"

"Jess," she smiled and I noticed her lips looked soft. I wanted to kiss those lips. "Jess Mowatt."

She walked away, leaving me to drink my coffee and think.

Jess P.O.V

I let him get away. I know, I know, but I did. If he wanted to know me, if I had actually caught him checking me out, then he'd look for me. And hey, Ultra Red were doing a gig tonight.

Which meant I had to get to practice. We had managed to soundproof the walls in one room in the flat and we practiced there. I raced home, just in time to set up.

"Ready?" Jo asked, after we set up our equipment.

We broke into 'Red Handed'.

You think you're slick, you think you're sneaky,
Well let's just say, things aren't that easy.
I yearned for this moment every night,
Because yes, it is you, that I despise.
You got away with murder, dozen times before,
Screwed up this time; someone has to settle a score.

Chorus:
There you got caught in the act,
Blood's on your hands got to think fast.
Don't bother trying an excuse,
What's the point? Won't be any use.
Your fingerprints stain a mark on the crime,
I guess you shouldn't have taken your time.
I'll be watching you there stranded,
Ha, ha, you got caught... Red handed.

Cry all you want, scream with your might,
No one will hear you in the dead of night.
Sitting in your cell thinking over, over again,
Of the stupid mistakes and life you lead.
You linger on the thought why it was to be,
Well you're just a waste of air to me.

Chorus

You took a chunk out of my life,
Ripped through my soul, with a knife.
'What goes around, comes around' is true
There's nothing left you can do.
I hope you remain there for good,
Rot to the bone, like you should.

Chorus X2
