Try Honesty., chapter 2

I walked up the concrete path and stopped when I saw the huge white door that was the door to my house. I gulped so loud you could have heard it in China. Well maybe that was exaggerating a little bit...

I walked up to the door and unlocked it with the house key and walked through the thresh-hold. Quiet. Too quiet...I walked through the hall and over to the kitchen, I peered through the door but there wasn't anyone in there, or the living room, or anywhere else. Hmmm. I went over to the stairs ready to go up to my room when I saw a little white note sitting on the stairs.

Emma,
Gone out for dinner.
Would have invited you but didn't know when you were coming back...yet again.
Sorry, be back around 10-ish.
Love, Mom. xx

"Fan-fucking-tastic," I said my thoughts out loud.

I had to make my own dinner is what this meant. I let out a huge sigh and walked up to my room, but then stopped as my brain went into action. WAHOOOOOOOOO! This mean I could go to Billie's without having to get a 'no' from my rents. Hehehe, score! I walked over to my closet now in a happy mood and reached into it to get my backpack. Oh God, would need this again for school soon. Brilliant. I shoved in a pair of black drainpipes and a tight Misfits t-shirt, along with underwear and all that jazz for tomorrow. Once I was done packing for Billie's, I walked over to my CD player and popped in 'Avenged Sevenfold -City Of Evil' (A/N. Yes, I know A7X wasn't around back then but just go along with it okay?) and switched it to 'Burn It Down'.

I listened to it a little before I heard the doorbell ring. That would be Billie so I grabbed my bag, swung it over my shoulder and turned off my CD player before heading down the stairs. I reached the bottom and there was Billie, he had just let himself in, he always has. He wasn't being rude or anything, it's the way we had done things for a long time.

"Hey." He looked up onto the stairs and gave me a huge smile.

What the hell was he so happy about?

"Heya." I gave him a smile also, but not half as big as his. Jeeze, the size of that smile couldn't be matched.

"It's only 8, so I thought maybe we could hang around here for a little while, what do ya think?" He suggested.

"Yeah, sure, sounds good to me. I need something to eat before anyways, mom and Ted and Matt, they went out for dinner," I explained.

"Oh right, well I can help you make something," Billie said to me, taking my hand and leading me down the rest of the stairs and into the kitchen.

"So what did you have in mind?" I questioned.

"Hmm. Not sure, something oven anyways, I'm not really good at cooking," He stated.

"Yeah, I remember," I said, a grin creeping onto my face.

"Don't even laugh about that, was Tre's fault more than mine!"

"S'pose," I said, opening the freezer door. Aha, pizza, that should do me.

Billie made the pizza for me, I can't cook for shit. We shared it though, because, aye, I'm nice like that.

"Okay, that brings us to 8:35. Anything else we can do for like 20 minutes?" Billie asked me.

"Ummm, hmmm, no."

"Jeeze, you're a riot Emz."

"I know." I smirked.

"Well we can just go to mine then."

"Sounds good to me," I said, getting off the sofa I was comfortably on and walking to the door, picking up my bag on the way. We walked across the road and over to Billie's house. It was pretty much the same as mine except he had an extension on his, so it was that little bit bigger. We got inside and instantly headed up to his room, where he put on A7X - Burn It Down, the exact same some I had been listening to, yeah, I know, we have a lot in common.

"Jealousy's an ugly word, but you don't seem to care," Billie sang. I had to admit, his voice was like no one elses, it was so unique and amazing, it was one of the things I really loved about him. When I tuned 12, he wrote a song just for me and sang it at my birthday party, it was about the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me, and let me tell you, I fucking loved every second of it. Ever since then me and Billie had been exceptionally close.

"Right," Billie said, taking me out of my little trip down memory lane. "Before Tre gets here, we should hide your underwear."

"Haha, true, I don't want any old memories back!" I said while laughing. If you haven't already figured out what Tre did with my underwear last time, take a wild guess, I'm pretty sure you could get it.

"Tonight should be fun," Billie said smiling and looking right into my eyes.

"Yeah, it should." Giving him a huge grin back.

"You have really pretty eyes," He said to me out of the blue. What the fuck? Billie's going nuts...since when had he decided to start complimenting me? And that wasn't just any compliment, sounded kinda flirty...

"Huh? Oh, um, thanks," I said, stumbling over my words.

Just when I thought we would have one of those awkward sliences, the doorbell rang, thank-fucking-god.

Billie exited the room. Leaving me sitting on his bed, slightly confused.
