2 Plus 2 Equals 4, And Then 1 More!, chapter 4
We all settled around the TV once again to watch Beavis and Butthead. All except Tre; I think he found some extra-curricular activities in the bedroom.
As the movie credits came up, I stretched and said, "I'm tired. I think I'm going to go to bed."
Mallory was already dozing off on Mike's shoulder. So I threw a nearby pillow at her.
She stood up instantly. "What the hell was that for?" she said, looking around.
"Get your ass up and go to bed," I said, giggling and yawning at the same time.
"Where's your room, Mike?" Mal asked, looking at him.
"Follow me," he said, taking her hand and leading her to his room.
As they disappeared into the hallway, I shouted, "These walls are pretty thin. MIKE, YOU BETTER KEEP YOUR SNAKE IN YOUR CAGE!"
Billie snickered.
"THAT GOES FOR YOU TOO, BILLIE JOE!" Mal shouted back.
Billie shut up instantly and frowned. I smirked and stood up.
"Ok, well, where's your room?" I said, looking at Billie.
"Over here, come on," he said, standing up and walking towards the hallway as I followed him.
We walked into a room; there was a lot of posters on the wall of bands like The Clash and The Ramones.
"Awesome room," I said.
He grinned. "Thanks. Um, you can sleep on the bed if you want; I'll crash on the couch."
"No, I couldn't do that. We can share it." I smiled.
He let out a sigh of relief.
I took off my chucks and crawled underneath the blanket. He switched off the lights did the same.
"You better not snore," I giggled.
"No, but I do like to cuddle," he said, laughing.
"I can deal with that," I said.
I felt his arm wrap around my waist. I grinned to myself and shut my eyes.
I couldn't fall asleep for some reason. I was just enjoying the moment, I guess. It wasn't until about ten minutes, when I heard, "Hey are you asleep?" It was none other than Billie Joe.
I opened my eyes. "Nope, are you?"
He laughed, "Well obviously not if I asked you first."
"Oh yeah," I said. Gosh, I'm such an idiot.
I turned around to face him; I couldn't really see him, considering it was pitch black. His arm was still securely around my waist.
We lied there about a minute or so until he finally spoke, "Why do this feel so...?"
"Right?" I said, finishing his sentence.
"Yeah," he said.
"I don't know. Maybe because it is," I said.
"You know, for the first time in my life, I feel like this is exactly where I'm supposed to be," he said.
I smiled. "Yeah, me too."
I felt his arm leave my waist, and then I felt a hand on top of my head.
"Um, what are you doing?" I asked, laughing.
"I'm trying to find your face," he said.
"Oh," I said, giggling; I took his hand and placed it on my cheek. "There you go," I said.
I felt him lean in; then I felt his lips press up against mine. I closed my eyes and kissed him back. As we separated, there was a silence.
"So that's why you were looking for my face," I said dumbly.
"Yeah," he said.
He placed his arm back around my waist. I smiled to myself and closed my eyes. This is going to be the start of something wonderful, I thought. Then I fell asleep.
