2 Plus 2 Equals 4, And Then 1 More!, chapter 9
*6 Months Later*
Billie's mom got both Mallory and me a job at Rod's. We've been working there about 6 months. Billie and I are doing awesome. 'I love you' hasn't been exchanged because I'm afraid if I say it first he won't say it back. There have been times where he's almost said it, but he caught himself. Unlike Mallory and Mike, all you hear out of them is 'I love you'. It's cute though. Anyways, about work, Mike and Mallory work in the kitchen, and Billie and I work upfront with the customers. Ollie (Billie's mom) insisted that she separate Mike and Billie because they never do what they are supposed to when they are together. I don't think it's changed with me though, because Billie still doesn't do everything he's supposed to.
We were all at work, Billie was serving customers, and I was behind the cashier. Mike and Mallory were doing God knows what in the kitchen.
As the next customer came up in line, I looked up from the cashier to greet them, and my jaw dropped.
"Jewel?" asked the voice I've grown to hate.
"Hi Chad," I said softly.
He smiled what seemed to be an evil smile, "I've missed you, baby," he said.
"Bull shit," I said rudely.
Just then Billie came up to the counter and kissed my cheek. He took one look at my eyes, and asked "What's wrong, baby?"
"Billie, meet Chad," I said to Billie pointing at Chad.
"You're Chad?" Billie asked looking at Chad.
"Yeah, I hope you told him all the good things about me, baby," Chad said looking at me.
"What good things?" I replied.
Billie was breathing heavily, and all of a sudden Billie's fist connected with Chad's nose. Chad fell to the floor, and Billie continued punching him.
The whole restaurant had all their eyes on Billie and Chad.
"Stop it! Billie, stop! Just forget it!" I said trying to pull Billie off of him.
"No! He hurt you, know I'm hurting him!" he said in between punches.
"What is going on here?" Ollie said angrily working her way threw the crowd, and Mike and Mallory were right behind her.
"Is that Chad?" Mallory whispered in my ear. I nodded quickly.
"BILLIE JOE ARMSTRONG! YOU BETTER GET OFF THAT BOY, RIGHT NOW! OR YOU'LL BE SORRY!" Ollie screamed.
Billie heard his mother's voice, and reluctantly pulled away.
Billie got up quickly, his eyebrow was cut, and so was his lip.
He waited for Chad to stand up, who was in much more pain then he was, and kicked him in the balls one last time.
Ollie pulled her son back, "Stop it, do you hear me? You're so damn stubborn Billie Joe," she said angrily.
"I actually loved the bitch!" Chad said angrily at Billie.
"Bull shit! I love her! If you loved her you wouldn't have done what you did to her, you piece of shit. I have never harmed her, ever! That's love!" Billie shouted at him.
My mouth dropped. Did he just say what I think he said? He loved me? Finally!
"Get out of here! And don't come back, you little punk!" Ollie said to Chad as he walked out of the restaurant.
I pulled Billie into the restroom, and had him sit on the counter so that I could clean him up.
It was quiet for about 30 seconds, until I said, "Thank you."
He looked at me and smiled, "Any time, baby," he said.
I kissed his lips, and I could taste his blood, but it didn't bother me.
He pulled away and said, "I meant what I said. I love you Jewel."
"I love you too, Billie," I said kissing him again.
I cleaned him up, and we walked out of the bathroom hand in hand.
