I'll find you, chapter 3
*TRE'S POV*
I walked into the warm barn; the smell of horses greeted me. To me, the smell was as bad as after Billie takes a shit. I thought it was bad. I heard a bit of talking coming from one of the stalls. I walked towards the sound.
"...and I bet you would love him, Sunset. He's hot and I bet he's real nice." The girl looked up from petting a golden horse.
"Hi," she said.
"I'm Sydney and this is my horse Sunset."
"I'm Tre, your parents told me about you," I said.
She seemed nice.
Sydney left the stall to walk to another horse. He was huge. Tall with rust colored fur and snow- white eyelashes.
"This is Krouger," said Sydney.
"He's cool." I said.
Sydney's mom opened the door to the barn. "Come on you too, dinner is ready."
We walked together, I could feel she was still shy about meeting me because she was blushing and hiding a smile. Cute.
We walked into the house to find a table with Chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies... It looked great.
*MIKE'S POV*
Tre seemed a bit weird around the girl, who I found out was named Sydney. I felt something touch my foot under the table. My reflexes got the better of me and I jumped a bit. Sydney smiled at me.
"That would be Trousers," she said.
"Trousers?"
"Yes, our cat," said Sydney.
"I started to think you had haunted pants," I said.
Everyone laughed except Tre; he just made a fake smile.
What's wrong with him???
"So..? Mike, what do you do besides being in a punk rock band and being admired my screaming girls?" asked Sydney's father.
"I hang out at Starbucks with Tre and our band mate Billie Joe," I said.
"I noticed you love coffee." said her mom smiling.
"Yes, it's a habit I can't get rid of." Everyone laughed.
We ate in silence while Tre stole a few glances at Sydney; she really was a pretty girl. Still, something wasn't right about Tre. Should I tell Sydney's parents? Or should I ask Tre about it?
*SYDNEYS POV*
Why does Tre keep looking at me? Do I have something on my face? Hope not.
After dinner, I helped my mom wash the dishes and clear the table. Tre hung out while we were there. Mike drank coffee with my dad as they talked manly things.
Tre talked to my mom a bit and I was silent. I went to the barn as fast as possible. I didn't want Tre to come. Still, he followed. He walked up to me and put his hand on my cheek, what was he doing?
"I love you." And with that, he kissed me.
I pulled away, I was scared.
I ran to Sunsets stall and flung the door open and jumped on her back.
I pressed my heels into her sides. I needed time to think clearly. We galloped out of the barn and to the one place where I thought I could fly. The hill where I day dream. I don't know where Bonnie was. As we went past the house, I could see Mike walking to the car to get something. He saw me. Tre tried to run after me but stopped at the car panting. I started crying.
*TRES POV*
"What did I do?? All I did was kiss her.
"Where is she going?" asked Mike.
"I don't know," I said looking at my shoes.
"All I did was kiss her and she got on that horse and she took off!" I couldn't stop myself from saying it!
"You what?!" asked Mike angrily.
"I kissed her..."
"You idiot, how old is she, 13, 15?!"
"I don't know..."
Mike looked towards where Sydney took off. All he could see was a gold spot in the distance and getting smaller still.
"We can't take the car, and both of us cant go, you stay here." said Mike.
*MIKES POV*
"Me? Why do I have to stay?!?" asked Tre.
"Because you started this! She won't want to see you!" I said.
I ran towards the barn, I had to take that rust colored horse with the white eyelashes, Krouger was he called?
I opened the door to his stall; I remember Sydney was riding with no tack. Maybe I could to the same?
I grabbed krougers mane and hauled myself onto his back, I was ready to kick him but I realized, I was backwards.
I finally turned the right way and kicked him hard.
"Find Sydney!"
He took off. Only to stop in the parking lot and rear and kicked the air with his front legs. Tre stared in awe. Krouger came back down and galloped in the direction Sydney went.
"Il find you Sydney, Il find you..." I whispered while I clung to Krougars neck, I was slipping....
Krouger seemed to realize my distress because he turned the direction I was falling. I got back my balance.
Why Tre stupid enough to kiss her, she was like 14 for crying out loud! I leaned more forward on Krougers neck.
"Hurry boy!" I said above the wind. My eyes started to water and I soon couldn't see clearly. I trusted Krouger to catch Sydney. I felt his movement increase. I saw a golden blob. Sunset! Krouger slowed down until I had time to wipe my eyes. I fell more then jumped off. I started running towards Sydney, who lay on the grass. Sunset grazed nearby.
"Sydney! Are you alright?" I called.
"Just dandy."
"I know what Tre did, but why are you crying?" I asked. Getting a kiss wasn't something you would cry about.
"I...I got scared..." she answered.
*SYDNEYE'S POV*
Mike stared into my eyes and gave me a hug. I hugged him back.
"Come on, let's go home," he said. I got up and jumped on Sunset. Mike struggled to get on Krouger, but he finally did.
We walked back without saying anything much.
Tre was waiting beside his car.
"Sydney!" he called and started running towards me. Sunset eyed him. Tre started waving his arms.
Sunset didn't like that, because she reared up. I wasn't ready for that! I fell to the gravel. When I fell, Krouger realized he didn't like the sound I made as I hit, because he too reared up and did a buck. Mike went flying, landing on top of me. His head smacked against mine as we both blacked out.

*SYDNEYE'S POV*
