Didn't think this job could get any better!, chapter 1
Well it all started in the year 1994. I was at the last week of college. I was going to be a qualified hairdresser! I couldn't wait. My plan was to move California. I wanted to be a stylist to stars. Well I really should introduced myself. My name is Sky Baker and I live in London, England and I'm twenty three years old and I have long black hair to my waist with pink streaks in it and I have bright green eyes like my Idol which is none other then Billie Joe Armstrong and I live in a small flat in the west end of London with my best friend Scarlet, I like it here but I want to go further and travel the world. Ok so now you know a bit about me I'll carry on with the story.
"Sky, get your cute butt out of bed. We are going to be late from our first day of the last week!" Scarlet screamed at me down the hall to my bedroom I seriously not in a good mood that morning.
"Ok ok, I'm coming," I screamed back.
So I got my lazy ass out of bed, and walked to my dresser where I picked out clothes for today, my out fit for day was my black shirt with Green Day, My favorite band in the world! written on my back with a pair jeans with holes in them on my knees and my black skaters shoes, so I got dressed brushed my hair and applied a little bit of eyeliner and grabbed my bag with my college books and started to walked to the kitchen where Scarlet was drinking the rest of her tea.
"Are you ready then, Scarlet?" I said to her while she was washing her cup up in the sink.
"Yup!" she replied
We walked out of our flat door I locked it behind me and carry on down stairs to other front door and walked out and got into my car and drove to college which was half an hour away in central London in Westminster, to be exact.
When we arrived I happen to bump into my ex which wasn't the worse thing ever but I still didn't want to talked to him after he dumped me for some preppy girl in my class. His name is Sebastian he half Italian looking with black spiky hair and greeny brown eyes and dresses like a punk. He wasn't in my classes. He was doing Business studies. I still felt something for him, but I just couldn't let him back into my life and hurt me again, so I decided just to be friends.
"Hey Sky! Hey Scarlet!" Sebastian said as he came running towards us
"Hi Seb! Whats up?" Scarlet said to him while looking at me with a grin on her face, I knew what she was trying to do, I was not going to get back with him!
"Yeah Hi Seb Hows ya girlfriend? I said with a evil look in my eyes!
"Look Sky I'm sorry for what happen between me and you, well if you must know we split up yesterday, well I think I made a mistake going out with her she really wasn't my type at all" he replied while putting his arm around me.
"Look Seb that doesn't mean I'm going to get back with you is it!" I said to him has I push his arm off my shoulders.
"Ok Sky, I thought it was worth a try anyway. I'll see ya guys around," he said with a look of hurt on his face, has he walked off he just smiled and carried on walking to class.
Finally first day of the week at college was over, I just couldn't wait for the end of the week when we will be Qualified! I have been applying for jobs in California I hadn't heard from any of them I Started to think it wasn't ever going to happen for me, Scarlet was applying for the same jobs as well because they wanted 3 stylist to work on tour with a band I had no idea who the band was or anything maybe I never find out.
Well the end of the week came too quickly and still no response from the job! I started to get a little scared, so was Scarlet she looked at me with her blue eyes and said " Sky do u think we ever get a job?"
"Look Scarlet don't worry remember the jobs all over the other side of America its going to take awhile to get a response," I said to her while I was straighting her long blond hair. She just smiled and carried on looking at her Kerrang magazine.
At the end of the day it was time to received our Diplomas, Me and Scarlet were so excited. The whole of our class sat in the hall of the college and one by one was given a scroll and had photo taken we had our hats and cloaks on we all looks so funny. My name was next to be called.
"Sky Ann Baker."
I walked up on stage and received my diploma and smile at the camera
CLICK! And went back to my seat. Next was Scarlet.
"Scarlet Rose Smith."
She walked up and turn around at me and gave me a hug and walked to stage and received her diploma and had her picture taken too
CLICK! And walked back to her seat.
After Every one got there diplomas our teacher had some last few words
" Well everyone its been a great pleasure teaching you and I wish you all the best in the future and give yourselves a clap" and with that everyone was clapping and threw there hats in the air.
***One Week Later***
I was checking though the mail, I found letters with my name on one, and Scarlet's name on the other my heart began to beat really fast I thought it was going to jump out of my chest!
I screamed for Scarlet to come. "SCARLET COME HERE QUICK" he came running saying "WHAT, WHAT, WHAT'S THE MATTER?" and I said, "look, letters from California."
We began to open them up together at the same time, we both looked up at each other and smile and started to read my letters...

I am pleased to inform you that we like you to come on board with us and become our full time tour stylist for a local band from Oakland, California. You may of heard them. The band is called Green Day. We enclosed your start date which will commence on 1st of August 1994. We have Arranged a apartment for you to live in before and in between tours and you'll be happy to hear that we put you in the apartment with your friend Scarlet. Your keys are also enclosed and flight tickets to California and everything else you will need. The guys are really looking forward to meeting you and everyone else here. We will explain more to you when you arrive. When you arrive at the airport in California, a driver will waiting for you with a sign with you name on so look out for him.

Both me and Scarlet looked at each with our jaws open. I almost had a heart attack when I read "band called Green Day," I tried to speak but nothing came out. Scarlet got the same letter she was coming with me. This was the best day of my life. When I finally could speak I said to Scarlet, "we got two weeks to prepare, Oh my god!" After I said that I started to feel dizzy and I collapsed on the floor and everything went black. Scarlet pulled me on to the coach and tried to wake me up when i Finally woke up I was still god smacked! I just laid there thinking what it would be like I started to day dream about Billie Joe.
***Day Dreaming***
Walked in the dressing room of Billie Joe's and he was standing there looking at me with those green dreamy eyes my knees felt like jelly, we walked over to me and took me by the hand and bend me over his arm and kiss me passionately. I felt like I was floating on air!
***End of day dream***
I was enjoying my day dream until I was rudely waken by Scarlet She said to me,
"We really should get started on packing and stuff and tell landlord that we are moving we only got two weeks to do it in."
I said to Scarlet "I'm really going to miss this place we had some good times here."
"I know it's going to be weird at first but we are going to have the time of our life. Sky, it's going to be amazing," she replied while hugging me on the coach.
***Few hours later***
After we both told our family and friends and everyone else, We Started to pack our belongings that we were going to take to California with us, My mum was going to take chairs and beds and everything to car boot sale and send the money over when I got California.
That Night I couldn't sleep I was really excited I just couldn't wait to start my new life over in California. I Finally fell asleep.
***Two weeks later***
It was the day before we left for California. I really was going to miss everyone my mum and Scarlet's mum decided to throw us a farewell party at my mum's house. My mum and dad had a massive garden so we had a barbecue and a disco. Everyone was there My sister Claire, and my two younger brothers Mason and Harley-James. My older sister Claire is twenty-five, my brothers Mason was sixteen and Harley was Ten. We were a very close family. Also, all of my cousins were there too, its was the best party ever.
***Scarlet's POV***
When we arrived at Sky's Mum and dad's house we were welcomed by everyone they had a massive party set up for us everyone was there all of Sky family and mine, My older brother Thomas, he is thirty years old, and his wife Natalie, she was the same age, and my little niece Summer she's only three years old and she adores me. We love to play all the time. Mum and my step dad was there to and my other two step sisters, Alex and Adrienne, they are twins and they are fourteen.
The party was great I was having a blast! My last night here in england, all my friends and family gave us farewell presents.
*** Sky's POV***
Well the night to come to a end we had to get an early flight in the morning so it was ten o clock by the time we got back to our flat after said bye to everyone.
We had to have one last look at our flat we sure was going to miss this place so many memories good and bad and now we have a new future ahead of us.
Sky and Scarlet had one more toast to us and our future we got a couple of glasses and the bottle of bubbly and pour the drink out and had a toast.
"To us Scarlet! And may our future be bright and healthy" I said has our glassed clanged together.
Tomorrow was going to be the day that Sky and Scarlet would start they new lives together in a whole new world!
