Continues-The New Girl Is The Best Thing In Town, chapter 1
Ashley's POV
Monday came around. When I got to school I went off looking for Deana and everyone else. When I did find them we greeted each other and stuff. We talked about things and they even said Tre was in a band called The Lookouts, he was the drummer and the youngest one too. Mike had gotten a lot taller and he was very thin. I guess I never really payed attention to any of them when I saw them in the hallway. Deana and Tre were still going out... that wasn't much of a surprise; they were like perfect for each other. Nika... well not much to say she was pretty just like usual.
"So how come you're all here at this school, but Billie isn't?"
"His mom won't let him come here for I don't know what reason, but I hope he does move over to this school. I barely get to be with him now." Nika answered.
Then the bell rang, so we went to our classes. At lunch we all sat together with some other kids too. They introduced me to them and we got along good. I noticed that Mike was constantly staring at Amanda. Amanda was one of the girls we ate lunch with she seemed really nice and friendly. It was cute the way Mike stared at her. I started thinking about Brandon... if he knew where I was since I always had lunch with him and his friends.
"Hey Amanda wanna come with me?"
"Where to?"
"To go see my brother."
"You have a brother?" Deana asked.
"Well he's not really my brother...my friend, but he's like my big brother 'cause our parents are dating or have been dating for ever! So they moved in with us and now he lives with us."
"Oh! Is he that guy you're always with at lunch?" Deana said.
"Yup that's him."
"He's hot!" Deana shouted and Tre gasped really loudly then pouted.
"Don't worry Tre; he has a girlfriend so Deana has no chance with him." I told him.
We all laughed.
"So yeah wanna come Amanda?" She nodded her head and we went to their table.
When we got to the table I could see Brandon making out with Emily so I coughed loudly.
"Oh hey Ashley" He stuttered.
"Hey yourself. Hi Emily." I gave Emily a hug.
"So how come you're not with us today?"
"I got friends in my own grade now."
"Oh okay cool so I'll see you at home later."
"Yeah okay bye."
"Ash wait tell my dad or your mom or whatever that I'll be home at around 5 today."
"Oooo okay." I waved bye to them and me and Amanda left.
"Your brother really is hot."
"Join the club." We laughed.
We walked in silence for a few seconds.
"Do you think Mike likes me?"
"Oh my god! Are you fucking serious?!" I practically shouted in her face.
"I really like him, but I don't know if he does like me... "
"Amanda, you're pretty, friendly, pretty. Of course he likes you. I mean today when we were at the table he just couldn't take his eyes off of you!"
"Then why doesn't he just ask me out?"
"Well maybe he's scared or something, I don't know I can talk to him if you want."
"Please?!"
"Yeah sure, me and him usually walk together since our houses are close by. Well I mean we don't walk together, because we didn't ever talk anymore but he usually walked behind me or in front of me, but we never made eye contact, kinda like enemies."
"Oh I see."
"Yup. But I'm sure now I'll be able to talk to him."
We got back to the table. There were two more guys there. Once again they introduced me to them and don't get me wrong, but the one with the black hair looked really hot. His name was Luis. The other boy had brown hair his name was Alex. Then I remembered that Luis was in my English class after lunch. I wondered why I never saw him though or payed attention to him. Luis and I talked for a little while. He liked a lot of metal music.
"I love your hair it's so cool!" I couldn't believe I just said that, but hey it was cool!
"Uhh thanks. I was thinking about growing dreads."
"Hey that'd look so fucking hot! If you do get them can I dye two of them blue pretty please!" he laughed a little.
"Sure, but just two of them."
"Yey!" Then the damn bell rang.
"Hey you're in the same English class as me wanna walk together?" He probably had no idea how much I wanted him to say that!
"Okay," I squeaked out.
We got to class and sat down. He sat all the way in the back and I sat in the front that's probably why I never really did notice him.
After school I was walking home with Mike.
"Mike you like Amanda right?"
"Uhhh, no I don't." Damn him. He was denying it.
"Then how come you kept staring at her at lunch?"
"Okay okay I like her, but I'm scared of asking her out."
"Don't be scared. She likes you too. She told me when we went to go look for my brother. Just ask her out."
"Hmmm I will then." He looked at me with a big smile.
"Okay well see you later Mike." We hugged and walked in our own direction.
A Couple Weeks Later
It was after school on Friday Luis and I decided we'd hang out, well just as friends. We headed towards the park, he didn't say much actually he just followed me. He was shy I loved that about him. All of a sudden there was some silence. I couldn't stand the silence.
"So Luis, where we going?"
"To the park? I thought."
"Oh yeah well what are we going to do over there?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Uhh hang out I guess. Climb trees maybe?"
"Oh cool I like to climb trees!" Then he poked me.
"Sorry I like to poke people. Ash do you uhh...nevermind."
"No now u have to tell me!"
"No!"
"Yes."
"No" Then I stopped walking with him as he continued without me.
"Hey where's you go?" He spun around and saw me there my arms crossed waiting.
"Are you going to tell me or no?"
"Well I'll see. Come on lets get to the park already!"
"Fine then." I kept wondering what he was going to say.
When we got to the park we started chasing around the ducks and we decided to climb a tree. We were both up in a huge tree I was scared but he just helped me when I thought I was going to fall.
I looked up at him his eyes, they seemed like they were going to hypnotize me. I guess he looked into mine too and next thing you know our lips collide. I back away quickly and end up falling out of the tree; he jumped out of the tree to see if I was ok.
"Are you okay? I shouldn't have I'm sorry."
"I'm okay but you shouldn't be sorry." He extended his hand so I can get up. I grabbed it but pulled him down with me we were both on the floor now. I start to kiss him nonstop. We were making out, at the park, on the ground. I get on top of him as his hands start to go up my shirt, his fingers tickle my skin. I giggle a little.
"Dude you guys are going to fucking eat each other. I never knew people could make out so intensively, I thought you were just friends I guess I was wrong!" I looked up there stood Tre, Mike, Nika, Billie, Amanda, Deana. Of course I knew it was Tre who just said all of that. The rest of them just looked at me and Luis. Billie glared at me in fact.
We both get up and fix ourselves. I look at him and smile.
"So are you guys gonna come hang out with us or should we just leave you two alone to go back to what you were doing?" Tre said.
"We'll hang out with you guys."
We held hands and I didn't worry or care what Billie thought.
