Who's that girl?, chapter 6

Jessica took a couple of steps into Jodiee's home and as soon as she saw the coutch she jumped on it and layed down.
Finally,something other than a cot.

"Jessica if you think your sleeping there then you're crazy."
And in comes Mrs.Davids, Jodiee's mom, and Jess's second mother.

"Mom!!"

Jess ran into her arms and felt so safe. So protected.

"Hunny! I'm so glad you decided to stay with us. I can't believe your mother, its a shame she was always so strong...always"

There was a pause after Mrs. Davids had said that. Jess looked down at the ground and Jodiee shot her mom a look.

"But! Your here now, and safe so, Jodiee why dont you help Jess put her stuff in your room and pull out the extra matress, unless Jess you want to stay in the guest room."

Jess laughed and said, "No I wanna stay with my girl lovers!"

Jessica and Jodiee both laughed and went up staires to get Jodiee's room ready for Jessica.

Jessica pulled down a blanket from Jodiee's closet and put her face to it as though she were smelling it. She loved that blanket, it was a greenish-blue color and very warm. Everytime Jess slept over there she would sleep with it.. Now she was going to be living here. A strange feeling of homesick came over Jessica. It hit her, she was never going to see her mother or sister again.
Well maybe not never, but at least for a couple of months...till Regina gets cleaned up. Jess vowed she wouldn't step foot in that house until her mother cleaned up. But with Jess gone how was that going to happen? After all Jess was the only thing stable in her mother's life.

"Hey Jess, I'm going to run downstaires and help mom with dinner. Will you be ok getting the matress ready yourself?"

Jess looked up from the blanket and nodded.

When Jess heard Jodiee's footsteps go down the stairs she wondered to Jodiee's bed and curled up in her blankets.
It was an odd feeling. She was warm but her heart felt cold. Cold and lonely. She picked up a little bouncy ball that Jodiee kept in her room and started to toss it back and forth.

Fuccckkk, I hope things get better, they have too. I mean I've already gotten a place to stay..things will get better. They always do.

Soon enough Jessica heard Jodiee's footsteps hurdly coming up the stairs.

Jodiee ran around the cornor to her room to see Jessica on her bed with her blanket rapped over her head like she were some sad orphan girl.

"Jess, what are you doing? You look like a little lost girl!" joked Jodiee as she walked over the bed and sat down.

Jodiee pulled the cover off of Jess so she could see her. What Jodiee saw was Jess's beautiful blue eyes, her fathers' eyes. Jodiee had always been jealous of her eyes. They were beautiful. And right now they were full of fear, confusing and a slight look of hunger.

Jodiee put her arm around Jessica and said, "Don't worry little girl, everything will be alright. Your here now, don't worry."

As soon as she said that Mrs.Davids came in the room and had a warm smile on her face.

"Well girls," she started to say. "I was going to fix a big meal..but I'm tired. As I'm sure both you girls are, lets order pizza tonight instead, ok?"

Both the girls agreed and went down stairs to watch movies.

So they gathered their blankets and pillows and crashed out on the couch. They were just settled on the coutch when Jodiee said, "Hey, I just rememberd tomorrow's Monday."

Jess looked at her weird and said, "Yeah, no shit."

"No thats not what I mean. I mean tomorrow's Monday, so the new guy is coming tomorrow."

Jess looked over at her and said, "Oh.."
