J.A.R., chapter 6
Jason and the group all split up, searching for the missing boy. Ollie went with Jason while Allen and Billie went together. Counting off all the places Ollie had found Mike she looked at Jason whose eyes were on the road for some input.
"Ollie, I think he's trying to trick you," Jason concluded after Ollie finished.
She peered at him, "What gives you that idea?"
Jason sighed and looked at her through the corner of his eye, "Mike goes to all those different places so he can mix you up, think hard. What place has he not gone to that you know he could be?" Both of the two put there heads together, this wasn't going to be easy.
A couple of miles away, Allen and Billie were also looking for Mike. "Alright so you think he's in Gilman? There's no way in hell I'm going in there!" Allen snapped.
Billie turned sideways glaring, "Oh yes you are!! We're doing this for Mike, so come with me!!" Allen sighed and followed Billie into the club.
"I DON'T SEE HIM!!" Allen shouted over the loud music.
"NEITHER DO I!!! WHERE ELSE COULD HE BE?"
Jason almost hit the brakes when he realised where Mike probably was. "How the hell do we get to the cemetery?"
Ollie looked at him, her features worn and tired, brightened, "Just make a U-turn, it's right off this exit!" Both Jason and Ollie were confident this time, they were going to find him.
Jason pulled into the dark cemetery, glancing at Ollie who brought her finger to her lips to indicate being quiet. Jason nodded as they got out of the car. He was scared out of his mind as Ollie thought back to where tombstone could be. Jason then spotted a huddled form on the ground. He jerked on Ollie's jacket and pointed, she gasped slightly, this was it.
He practically ran over to the area where he recognised the sleeping face to be Mike's. With a sigh of relief he waved Ollie over where she ran down and peered at the sleeping boy. Jason bent down, careful not to wake Mike, and gently picked him up. Ollie took one last look at Mike and turned to lead the way back to the car. Jason almost tripped, still staring at the sleeping form in his arms, glad that they found him.
Billie and Allen gave up and headed home, it was about 12 p.m. when they walked through the door. Waiting, they went to the fridge and pulled some milk out. Just as they were about to sit down Ollie opened the door, followed by Jason who still held Mike. Billie and Allen went to go jump on Mike hen Ollie stopped them and indicated that he was asleep. They all nodded as Jason walked up to Mike's room to put him down.
Everyone followed in tow as Jason slowly ascended the stairs. Billie snuck in front to open the door where he Ollie and Jason went into Mike's room, not forgetting Mike, of course. Carefully Jason placed Mike in his bed and left the room. Billie and Ollie looked at each other and left to there rooms as well.
Still asleep, Mike mumbled some words in his deep comatose, "Sorry..."
